Scott Brown not the only one worried about manager

1266

Scott Brown was not the only one was briefly worried about Neil Lennon’s position in recent months.  Neil has never particularly hidden his desire to work in England one day but when it became evident that there would be a few seats available in the English top flight, with the Everton job in particular becoming available, I am sure there were a few nervous twitches.

As and when Neil decides he is going to move on, Celtic will want to have a plan for succession in place, if not entirely executed.  In May, when Neil was fielding questions about moving on, I doubt any succession planning had taken place.  Some at the club would have been looking forward to a summer break and some player trading.  The prospect of finding a new manager, with all the inherent consequences for trading, preseason planning and Champions League qualification, would have caused mild panic.

Always be prepared.

How is your 1254125 work coming along?  Not started yet?  Today, Tom Conniffe completes his 125 mile walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal.  Go look and see how well his fundraising has gone (and get involved if you can).

TCR – Listening to stories from the original Red Army members, things were much more mental from 79-82.The game that is always talked about most fondly though was the Celtic game in 84 when the old RUC got their balls rolled.

The worst violence i ever witnessed at football was the Donegal Celtic V Linfield game at Windsor. The RUC cut the wire fence and proceeded to shoot dozens of plastic bullets into the DC crowd on the Spion Kop.Some of the injuries were genuinely horrific, one fella got hit clean up the face at point blank range with one.His jaw collapsed.

Most of the injured couldn’t even go to the hospital because the RUC were there lifting fans coming in with injuries.

To say that they were evil is an understatement, bigoted zealots of the worst type.

so what about the Hearts 1 nil Dec97 and Motherwell away 3-2 win and a few others?

Without Burley’s scoring contribution the world would be a totally different place as the former rangers would have won 12 in a row!

Whatever he writes now will not stop Celtic from winning another match so its not important.

    I hope Spain beat Brazil.

Its that latin religious entitlement mentality at its the best. Spain have already proven that they have that latin entitlement mentality for good reason. So no converts there. Lets see if the decisions indicate anything for world Cup 2014. I’m not too hopeful myself.

Stokes most important member of squad is a bit OTT I’ll give you that but he is a more important player to the club than his current status would suggest.

If we signed him on a five year contract (he’s only 24) he would score us 100 bread and butter goals over the length of the deal. IMHO I think it’s quite important we sign him up.

Always remember watccing us v Dundee utd at the home of hatred and bigotry, one of our midfielders was sporting the ‘well skelpt arse’ of the hangover sufferer. He appeared hell bent on getting sent off and was unable to walk the length of himself. On another occasion I remember this tit smirking at his mate in the MSM about Dr Jo.

    Whatever happened to Craig Burley?

Kevtic – Stokes will re-sign, I’m in no doubt about that, but he needs to show the manager that he’s someone who should be a first pick. The jury is still out, for me.

If Vic goes, I hope Hooper signs a new deal, which would give us a number of attacking options.

    It’s all about opinions!

    HH

    TTTT

  21. Kojo

I was just gonna say that I’d resign Stokesy snd I want to keep that wee bit of the devil in him.

He dragged us back into the game at Rugby pk and he was brill in the final hut we need more from him…he reminds me of me, I played better after I got kicked..

He should be a big player for us.

  22. Without Burley’s scoring contribution the world would be a totally different place as the former rangers would have won 12 in a row!

Sorry Kev I didn’t realise Burley changed the world. I will now believe every word he speaks and throw petals on the ground before him.

Do you agree with him that our manager is a puppet?

Personally I think our manager is his own man. You may say it does not matter what he says and you don’t care. Do you care what anybody says or is it all irrelevant what everybody says.

  23. Just looged in and folk are mentioning John Collins…F’ me could actually be the most over rated player in our clubs history…took every free kick corner and shy…
