Tanks at the marble staircase

187

Tank engines growl.
Their long journey is over.
The doors fly open, marble glistens in the evening sun.
But where are the guards? No one is here.
A child on a donkey could conquer this castle.

Once upon a time there was a tavern

Were we used to raise a glass or two

Remember how we laughed away the hours

Think of all the great things we will do

Die Die Die Die Ya Hun

Die Die Die Die Ya Hun

    Die Die Die

Die Die Die Die Die Die

Then the busy years went rushing by us

We lost our starry notions on the way

If by chance I’d see you in the tavern

We’d smile one another and we’d say

Die Die Die Die Ya Hun

Just a night I stood before the tavern

Nothing seemed the way it used to be

In the glass I saw strange reflection

Was that lonely woman really me?

Die Die Die Die Die Die

Through the door they came familiar laughter

I saw your face and heard you call my name

Oh my friend we’re older but no wiser

For in our hearts the dreams are still the same

All they have is their chequered history – and that’s about to be altered dramatically.

Ten years from now the person who wrote that will be writing about a club called Glasgow Rangers that used to play at Ibrox Park … ‘dignity’, blah, blah … ‘welcome the chase’, blah, blah … ‘proud traditions’, ect, ect, ect…

I seem to remember that you had the Tanks parked on the Marble Staircase once before buy they were repelled.

Now we know that that particlualr fightback used nefarious tactics and when the truth is known maybe the tanks will be followed by bulldozers.

    Hail! Hail!

Point taken re-deadline, I was being facetious more than anything, don’t find the MSM trustworthy somehow;-)

It would be more than surprising that Green would put money into a company that is expected to go into liquidation. He’s not a fool and wouldn’t throw money away. They really only have week or so to go then. Good.

    All our times have come

    Here but now they’re gone

    Seasons don’t fear the reaper

Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are

Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper

Baby take my hand…don’t fear the reaper

We’ll be able to fly…don’t fear the reaper

    Baby I’m your man…

    Valentine is done

    Here but now they’re gone

    Romeo and Juliet

Are together in eternity…Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday…Like Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday…Redefine happiness

Another 40,000 coming everyday…We can be like they are

Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper

Baby take my hand…don’t fear the reaper

We’ll be able to fly…don’t fear the reaper

    Baby I’m your man…

    Love of two is one

    Here but now they’re gone

Came the last night of sadness

And it was clear she couldn’t go on

Then the door was open and the wind appeared

    The candles blew then disappeared

The curtains flew then he appeared…saying don’t be afraid

Come on baby…and she had no fear

And she ran to him…then they started to fly

They looked backward and said goodby…she had become like they are

She had taken his hand…she had become like they are

Come on baby…don’t fear the reaper

  23. I am concerned that the level of expectation is high today.

I will be surprised if tonight’s documentary reveals anything we don’t already know.

The question is what will be the fallout for the general public and the large swathe of Rangers fans who are hoping to reemerge through a CVA.

Will it have any effect on voting at SPL?

    Will heads roll at Hampden?

More importantly for us, will it provide us with a cast iron case to exit the SPL?

    I sincerely hope so.
