The Celtic Story in 2088 will write about this time

804

When someone writes the Celtic Story on our 200th anniversary there will be a page about when The Thai Tims came to Glasgow.  It’s a part of the Celtic Story which reaches from 1888 to the present day, and, if we do our job as Celtic fans well, will ensure the character of the club retains a distinct and generous flavour.

The Thai Tims, formally the Good Child Foundation, arrive from Thailand next month and will perform at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, on Thursday 10 May, tickets are £12 and £6 for kids.  If you have enjoyed them on YouTube, and I know you have…. buy a couple of tickets here or call 08444 77 1000 and get along before they’ve sold out.

You can also support the Good Child Foundation by contributing to the fundraising exercise via their Everyclick page.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you yesterday on the question about whether not registering players correctly was cheating.  Busy, busy.  Will get to it as soon as I can – no answering this question early, that’s cheating.

Issue 7 of CQN Magazine is out now! Go to the dedicated magazine site here to read it properly (which you’ll not be able to do below).

Thanks to everyone who has bought a hard copies of the magazine, it looks like the sold out sign will go up again.  Order your copy for delivery by clicking on the link below for news and views from Celtic supporters.

  1. And another thing – and I know it’s lent – but has anyone else noticed that DBBIA hasn’t posted since Craig Whyte went to ground???

Oh my good God! Should I be laughing at that? Cringing, yes. I feel almost guilty laughing. Is that guy for real? Does he have, erm, issues? If he does then I feel bad.

:) I’m almost convinced it’s a wind-up but there’s something niggling at the back of my mind says he might be sincere and just a bit, well, challenged. So I too feel too guilty to laugh….

It sarted as tongue in cheek but I genuinely did feel sorry for the guy

.As regards their non-signing of Catholics, I also face the same obstacle in accepting that any Rangers` supporter is a “decent guy”. Is it possible to be a decent guy and support Rangers?

Donate a Cox Butchers sausage to The Rangers

Right bare with me here as this could be a stroke of genius.

We at David Cox Butchers, Main St Bridgeton are going to try this whacky way to raise some more money for the club through the method below.

All money raised will goto ticket sales for a local BB to get along to Ibrox and watch The Rangers.

    Step One.

Assistant weighs up one slice of square sausage.

    Step Two.

Assistant informs punter of price of aforementioned sausage.

    Step Three.

Cistomer donates the price of the sausage.

    Step Four.

Tickets bought for local kids to go watch The Rangers.

    Seems great idea to me

Started this morning and have had a few hits already. Ill keep this thread updated as we go but its a bit of fun and every penny to the club counts.”

Did you manage to “bare” with him?

Smith was a grade 1 referee.

His vendetta against Celtic was as a result of the referees being humiliated in their ‘strike’.

I understand he was replaced as match commander and things have been more sensible since.

Ivor Cutler was a favourite of the late John Peel.

Back in the early seventies, his Radio 1 show on a Sunday was the only place to hear any decent music.

I have to say that oor Ivor is an acquired taste that always eluded me, and now I know why.

I’m pretty sure the arrests for the banner were near the beginning of the season, long before the Hibs game.

    Thanks for the re-assuring update.

I did not know he was a Grade 1 ref either.

In how many ways did he want to show his personal insecurity?

Not to mention lack of professionalism.

  13. The plan appears to be to induce the general public to enter a butcher’s shop, pay for a bundle of links and leave them there.

Might be an idea for the fighting fund to try a similar thing at the local Mercedes dealer.

  14. Lads this Celtictaxcase guy has got me worried. Please tell me all he personally thinks but has no evidence of isnt true!!!

  15. Hi everyone,

Off to see John Hartson at a charity do at Swindon Town football club, hoping that DiCanio turns up, should be a good laugh.

Peter been reading the blog again! Actually that is neveralone’s idea from last year. I just do not see the logic. Let us take the present twelve plus two, say Ross County and Falkirk. What about say Dundee (two derbies there) and Partick Thistle, Glasgow team. Sixteen and then possibly eighteen teams, with more European games on a Saturday afternoon or even evening, that is my idea!

    ==============================

Well well, just when I said this morning that no one on here posted much approval of my suggestion up comes PL with my idea he claims as his own – lol!

My idea also stated that any team qualifying for the group stages of Euro competitions could give up a portion of the domestic TV money for distribution to the others plus a small portion (3%?) of home gate for away sides to help cash flow. Also that the bottom eight play for a trophy for the second part of the season – a consolation championship so to speak.

I appreciate your comments regarding Dundee etc. – I envisage though that the 14 team set up is a first stage to getting to a 16 team A-league.

He’s bound to find out that SSM tapped S Regan for a cup of tea and a Caramel Log at Hampden last month and hasn’t paid him back yet.

This must be a breach of some sort of EUFA protocol surely!
