CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS joined the list of Celtic marksmen with his header to make it 3-0 against Hearts at Tynecastle at the weekend.
The US international centre-back made a perfect connection with Matt O’Riley’s well-flighted left-wing free-kick to thump a header beyond the stranded Zander Clark to seal a deserved Scottish Cup quarter-final triumph in the capital.
Carter-Vickers is now only 25 strikes behind Kyogo Furuhashi.
THREE CHEERS…Cameron Carter-Vickers claimed a breakthrough goal at Tynecastle.
The livewire Japanese frontman staged an action replay against the Edinburgh club. He claimed one in the 3-1 victory over Robbie Neilson’s also-rans at Parkhead on Wednesday and followed up with a cheeky near-post flick to send an Alistair Johnston cross behind the flummoxed Clark on the stroke of half-time for the second goal.
Aaron Mooy, with his seventh strike for the team after opening his account in the 4-0 win over Hibs at Easter Road three days after Christmas, had got the show on the road with a sweeping left-foot effort inside two minutes.
The three goals are worth another look courtesy of the good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle.
