Victims of Rangers rampant vanity

157

Millionaires are immune from the most severe consequences of redundancy but well down the list of sorry human tales to walk away from Rangers today are likely to a whole lot of people on low paid jobs they are no longer able to retain.  They will become victims of rampant vanity, victims of Rangers.  It doesn’t matter which team they support, or how they feel about you or Celtic,  I hope they all find work soon.

  1. iki – they will always be associated with that. Their agenda at the moment though has the delicious side effect of printing the actual truth.

  2. Well said Paul67, with the current economic climate it will be desperate times trying to find another job. Good luck to them.

Happy birthday Gordon_J looks like it could be memorable! :-)

BT – another 12 months then, well done mate! I won’t find out till mid-March (ides of March) if my contract will be extended. Missus getting a bit twitchy but

if all goes well I can celebrate at the cup final and St Paddy’s day.

Bob Malcom *spit* name in there, what ever happened to that piece of work?

He used to drink in my local in Shettleston with his cronies, often sat in the corner, sullen faced while… in fact I shouldn’t say on here.

Did try to speak to him once and he didn’t seem impressed with the fact I could communicate in more than just a serious of grunts.

I hope that Hearts, Dunfermline, Motherwell, Kilmarnock … all fall in quick succession .nobody to blame but the SFA

As I posted on the last thread, I think Dunfermline may well be in very serious trouble come the end of the month – only one more home game after this weekend’s fails to cover last months wages.

There is no Old Firm (lets maintain our distance even more so from now on)

I have been following and enjoying CQN even more recently. Once again thank you for all your insights and Paul like the new layout (better on Blackberry).

I agree with the sentiment for many of the admin and cleaners that lose there jobs that they get something new quick and no-one suffers as a result.

Dunfermline and Hearts this season evidence how close the other clubs are to collapsing so much more to keep an eye on.

Re tickets for Ibrox game when Celtic receive the tickets a cheque is handed over to either a SPL or SFA representative either for payment prior to this game or in anticipation that there will still be one more game at Celtic Park. I look forward to how any Rangers away games tickets will be handled from now on.

  8. well said Paul.

The Christian approach to people losing their jobs; not a pleasant times for those being mad unemployed, especially when the UK economy is in the tank.

Nevertheless there is something quite delicious in seeing such a horrible organisation in the mess they are in.

I know it’s not Christian but I just can’t help it.

  10. Paul – a lead article that displays great dignity.

If only our former rivals had displayed a hint of it instead of just talking about it then the low salary workers you refer to would not be in the worrying position they find themselves in today.

If “Permatangerined” Hateley’s ghost-writer is looking in, these are the people deserving of respect and dignity and any Celt I know has echoed the sentiments expressed at the top of the page.

As for the vile, bigoted institution that employed these poor folk down the years and fostered a culture for the “FTP” brigade who represented them on the pitch as well as the terraces……..to Hell with the lot of them!

I suppose it all depends whether or not its a farewell party or a wake…what the feck does it matter? Its party time! Itz gonna be like the Mardi Gras at the Copeland!

Ice cream venders wearing party hatz…Pope Benedict bursting out of a giant gateaux…streamers, streakers, undertakers & grim reapers…anyone for cocktails?

Could we put on a half time buffet?

I can see it all now like a polaroid slowly coming into focus!

To be honest, I don’t think any of that matters. If you have kids, try to think of how it would feel going home tonight to tell your missus that you’ve no job tomorrow and no wage at the end of the month to pay for the cover over their heads.

That is the real cost of what Rangers have done. Not that Dundee United won’t get paid what they’re due, or even that we were denied a few shiny trinkets – people are about to be truly shafted and quite frankly, I feel quite sick about the whole sorry mess.

@BBCDouglsFraser Ticketus parent firm Octopus tells investors it’s “comfortable” with its £24m #Rangers deal, but “cannot and does not guarantee capital”

This Ticketus thing still baffles me. They own future tickets, therefore they are not creditors, but they are ‘comfortable’ ?? If Rangers go into liquidation they won’t even be IN the creditors queue, since their 24M+ asset would then be worth zip, yet they are ‘comfortable’? Where and what are their guarantees that allow them to be this ‘comfortable’?

Given that the responsibility for creating the conditions that not only required Rangers to be takenover buy also allowed them to be taken over by a chancer ,the lack of any consistent focus on SDM by main stream popular media is noticeable.

hold over others does succulent lamb provide or was it not the lamb but the gravy?

Don’t be surprised if it turns out Ticketus haven’t purchased the season tickets for Rangers but in fact have purchased 100,000 tickets for the football events held at Ibrox Stadium…..

  21. From Garngad to Croy I am Neil Lennon. on

But Paul , a Dumbfermline fan in my work told me it is all Celtic’s fault !

  22. Complicit in all of this are the BBC, STV, Scottish newspapers, and all the others who kept their heads below the parapet. You can put the football managers in there as well, apart from an honourable Ulsterman (yes, they do exist), and a lot of the players. Where were they when Neil Lennon was threatened, or Paddy McCourt or Niall McGinn? All the information they needed was on CQN, RTC, and Phil’s site. They ignored it. The BBC finally pounced after a short while, but their target was Whytey, not the real culprits, Minty and all his former co-directors. Is it really only 4 years ago that a £700 million casino with a floating football pitch was being built at Ibrox? Is it just a year since that disgrace of a man, George Peat, tried to intimidate Celtic? Are we having a party this May on the anniversary of Whytey taking over Mordor?

  23. Rogueleader

or that Craig Whyte has the floating charge which allows him to claim the assets and Ticketus has security over him…or they have nothing.
