News that a new company, “Glasgow Rangers Limited”, has been registered today with an address matching a waste management company in Buckinghamshire, has delicious irony but in itself means little. After Rangers owner, Craig Whyte, laid out all sorts of medium-term scenarios for the club in media interviews last week a land-rush for fresh rangers intellectual property, including a company name, should be expected.
If those with secured property rights over Ibrox are busy forming a new company, they are unlikely to be the only ones.
Still, waste management. It’s perfectly scripted.

So are the memories!
Take care.

In the heat of Lisbon – did you see that post from Vmhan, a real travelling Hoops fan.
Me? Midweek away games are mostly a no-go due to work commitments, but I’m sure there will be someone on here who will gladly take you up on your offer of a ticket and seat on your supporters bus….what bus was it again?
Hail Hail

Are you seriously saying that a youth team player does not want the opportunity to move up into the First Team squad because they don’t like the manager and his assistants?
I would have thought any young player wanting to make their way in the game would bite their own spherical objects off if given such a chance even if only to expose the manager and his assistants’ incompetence.
Not being fully au fait with football management but would youth team members have that intimate a knowledge of First Team tactics, training methods and such like.
Not casting any aspertions on your integrity but it just sounds a bit far fetched to me. I could be wrong, and generally am if the wife is to be believed.

Best regards to you and all of yours – I hope Celtic give Hibs a proper doing on Wednesday night, if for nothing else other than to be the only thing that could raise wry smiles from your clan.

I to am a Home n” away Bhoy.
I will be in The Dakota Hotel ,South Queensferry at 5.00pm.
Come in and have a beer.
You will more that likely meet Lenny and his management team there at the same time.
I can assure you that they will be tea total, and professionally prepared for the match.
P.S.
I am in the minority who would not have appointed Lenny, and feel that we are treading water, but like you i DESPERATELY want him to succeed.
Huns.
Do you not get it?
We can see through your lies. We’ll stand together do a huddle sing songs no matter what you say. You’re dying, you’ll not be here much longer and we’ll be doing the huddle on your grave and Neil Lennon will be leading the cheers.
Bye bye
One of the best Celtic games I was ever at in terms of excitement (the wrong result I might add but I was only in my early teens and I still enjoyed a good game for what it was) was through in Edinburgh in a 4-4 league cup draw (we lost on penalties as I recall – that was the first time I ever heard my Dad say ‘we never win penalty shoot outs’ – I have repeated it many times since!)
McGrain was playing, Rambo was a sub (he was warming up in front of us in the enclosure in front of the main stand) – don’t remember the rest of the team but pretty sure Packie B was in goal – circa 1985/ 86?
Wet windy Embra night. We were beaten but I had been to see my heroes and they had put on a good show. I suspect the me of today would have seen only the errors that led to 4 goals being conceded to Hibs and an inability to score penalties. Then I’d be in the huff all week and whining about it on a forum.
I think I preferred the youthful optimistic me……………….
A lot of the joy has been sucked out of the beautiful game and you can blame Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond all you like. Yes, they have to take some blame but the ultimate blame lies at the foot of the greedy and all consuming EPL which has sucked up the life from almost every other league in Europe barring the top dozen clubs across the ‘major’ leagues. Germany was drawn in but has since clawed some self respect and control back. We haven’t the power or strength in numbers to do the same in Scotland.
Money has ruined the game. Too much money that is, going in to players and agents pockets. Too much TV money. Too much reliance on sponsorship and advertising.
Oh for the days when your attendances and core support determined your stature and spending ability.
I want the joy back.
I can see the attraction in an FC United of Manchester style set up. Pure love of football and your club.

Droped the kids off to the village, had a couple, so are you saying that the tax man is using the case as a precident ?
That plan goes oot the winday if craigie pulls the plug before hand.
I know I am a bit thick, but would the HMRC not be better to get the government to change the laws.

Barcabhoy,
I hope your right, but, seeking justice ? if I remember correctly they had been “working behind the scenes” for years on the ref’s. and until the support took action they sat on their hands. I do believe they would still be “working behind the scenes” if the support had not threatened bhoycott.
————————–
You are correct and I could give you chapter and verse on how it came about – but I’ll not bore you. What I will say is that there was a marked change in the handling of events from that point in terms of the support and Celtic working together.

i take your point mate
Would you as a manager expose youth to our first team in the league.
This is kids who took part in a 4-2 victory v Man City
better they sit in the background with the guys who have overseen their development.
Kids will not turn us around but as we look for scapegoats, it tends to be our own we pour our scorn on

Amen to that. The joy has been sucked out of football.
Auldheid..,
fair point about it being a new condition by Uefa. But as I’ve said many times the board have a lot to prove they have lost my trust as you know too well. They have dragged their feet too many times, in fact we have had to drag them along on the last few occasions.

what I am saying is, the taxman is trying to loose the title of creditor, so regardless of the timing of the administration/liquidation, the taxman is no longer going to accept carpetbaggers have priority to his money.
