If they have to play again tomorrow, will they have time to wash the kit?
I remember times growing up when we had to wear unwashed kit when we played games over weekends in tournaments. In those days there were no numbers and the kit was thrown into a black plastic bag until the next day. It was not pleasant having to wear someone else’s smelly socks

What a day – Ne’er a minute to even knock up a Dixie Deans story much to my disappointment — I can feel a Canamalar row coming on!
Right, I see we are playing in the Foggy Dew. Reminiscent of the night in Hungary, I think it was when Rangers ( RIP along with their Golf Handicap, Employers Liability Number, Capacity to contract, Employers Pension Scheme and so many other things that simply can’t be transferred ) were playing a local side in the fog.
David Francey was commentating for Radio Shortbread and somewhere in the mist the Hungarians scored within the first couple of minutes:
” It’s a goal” shouted Francey down the mike and then asked someone close by who had scored and then proceeded to broadcast the answer to the nation:
” Yes It’s a goal for the Hungarians: Fucktevano has scored and Rangers find themselves one down in the first few minutes with Fucktevano the scorer……….”
Dead Air followed for a few minutes right enough …………

Feel like I’ve been transported back to Fir Park in late 80’s!
MWD said AYE
As down the glen one Easter morn to a city fair rode I
There Armed lines of marching men in squadrons passed me by
No fife did hum nor battle drum did sound it’s dread tatoo
But the Angelus bell o’er the Liffey swell rang out through the foggy dew
Right proudly high over Dublin Town they hung out the flag of war
‘Twas better to die ‘neath an Irish sky than at Sulva or Sud El Bar
And from the plains of Royal Meath strong men came hurrying through
While Britannia’s Huns, with their long range guns sailed in through the foggy dew
‘Twas Britannia bade our Wild Geese go that small nations might be free
But their lonely graves are by Sulva’s waves or the shore of the Great North Sea
Oh, had they died by Pearse’s side or fought with Cathal Brugha
Their names we will keep where the fenians sleep ‘neath the shroud of the foggy dew
But the bravest fell, and the requiem bell rang mournfully and clear
For those who died that Eastertide in the springing of the year
And the world did gaze, in deep amaze, at those fearless men, but few
Who bore the fight that freedom’s light might shine through the foggy dew
Ah, back through the glen I rode again and my heart with grief was sore
For I parted then with valiant men whom I never shall see more
But to and fro in my dreams I go and I’d kneel and pray for you,
For slavery fled, O glorious dead, When you fell in the foggy dew.
look…..we have a goalie!
Its just like a summers day on Balmedie beach
It looks like Sleepy Hollow out there
Corner Celtic
Wish we would play down the right
We have a corner apparently
