CELT GETS ALL-CLEAR

NIR BITTON has been given the all-clear for a Celtic return against Livingston at Parkhead tomorrow afternoon.

The Israeli international defender was banned from the 1-1 draw with Hibs on Monday night after his red card in the 1-0 loss at Ibrox 13 days ago.

However, Bitton is NOT one of the 13 Hoops players ordered to self-isolate after Christopher Jullien tested positive for coronavirus following the Dubai trip last week. First-teamers such as skipper Scott Brown, Kristoffer Ajer, Ryan Christie, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths were among those ordered to go into a 10-day quarantine period.

Neil Lennon and John Kennedy were also missing for the visit of the Edinburgh side with coach Gavin Strachan in charge of a makeshift outfit that saw teenager Cameron Harper make his debut while the side completed the 90 minutes with Armstrong Oko-Flex and Karamoko Dembele on the pitch.

Bitton, according to a report in the Scottish Sun, is ready to take over a central defensive position alongside Shane Duffy. Right-back Stephen Welsh switched as an emergency against Jack Ross’ side.
