   Jean-Luc runs a great set-up in Marseille, it’s quite something the way he has built a real Celtic community pub close to the Velodrome. We played against the Marseilles bhoys a few years ago as part of the old AC Celtic set up, they gubbed us 7 – 1, but to be fair their average was about 22 and ours was nearer to 40. They had one lad who weighed about 17 stones, again roughly the same as a few of us, but he’d played with Marseille as a youngster and was a magnificent player, he played with us in the second half and that’s what prevented them from getting in to double figures!

    

    

   I’m not sure what Celtic could do as part of an outreach programme, but I think some kind of overseas welcome package for fans outwith Scotland could help when they come to visit that would be worth exploring. There is a very active French CSC and they hold some season tickets for CP and are regular attenders.

    Started it off thinking it was a free poll, and it was if all you wanted was to see the first 100 votes. So I had to pay a wee fee to see all votes. So it would be good to get it out to as many Tims as possible. It’s also a wee marker for the board come the time they have to decide. Must admit though. I expected about 20% Yes’s.
