    Away from home in European competition, what’s not to like (even without our Euro away talisman)?!!!

     

     

    Away last week, away today, away next week and away the week after. And we’re still on for a 100% record without even so much as conceding.

     

     

    Furthermore, if you think we’ve been good in the first half, wait until Ronny brings on his second half team… they usually do better!

    Celtic’s pressing game has been very impressive. Likewise Chas Mulgrew’s beard, though not quite in the Samaras class.

    Excellent first half overall. We can all say the opposition aren’t great but we should also remember it’s only the 22nd July. Particularly impressed with McGregor and Pukki. KC has shown some nice touches but doesn’t look fully up to match sharpness yet, Griffiths looks uncomfortable on the right. Would like to see him through the middle at some point in the evening.

    TonyD – fair comment – but I tend to agree with Mark McGee when he said last week that it is probably better for Celtic to have played a few competitive games rather than going in to a Play Off (if we get there) on the back of friendlies only.

     

     

    There are arguments both ways I suppose.

     

     

    I think league champions should be straight in to the League of Champions – but while we have this system that favours the already wealthy then perhaps we’re better off getting a few of these games under our belt before we play the biggie. With all due respect to Legia and St Pat’s…..

    Entertaining. More goals were on offer. Teemu one out of four conversion rate is disappointing.

     

     

    Some lovely weighted through balls.

     

     

    Pressing when we lose the ball is working but is a high risk strategy as it leaves gaps which better opponents would exploit.

    job done in the sun, enjoyable first half , some decent performances

     

    If Kris is got any sort of hangover from the weekend knock then sub him as he is going to be key to our qualification.

    Couldn’t ask for more in that 1st half. Great display so far by all the players. Johansen has been class…more of the same in the 2nd half please Celtic :)

    I hope Wee Gordo and some of the other cub sides can garner some points for us in the coming weeks and months.

     

     

    Another plus to playing the qualifiers is th opportunity to rack up some points in that respect I think.

    Decent workout for the first half. We improved substantially on the performance away from home last week. I hope we continue to press for more goals in the second half. Teams of the stature of KRR (no disrespect intended) should be terrified of playing us in these games.

    Awesome First Half, More of the same second half, What a difference a week makes. Ronnie has them sharp already. All the markings of a good manager. Team playing for him, Not sure about the two Tonys. is they fancy Ronnies Regime. Just my opinion.

     

     

    Pukki looking better as the games go past, knew there was a good player in there.
