  1. Broony’s shot ends up in Carntyne station. Mince. Good positive team performance first half, though corners could have been better.

  2. Happy enough with that. First goal slow to come but Celtic remained focussed and have their just rewards. Poor corners, especially from Armstrong and we really need to be quicker with our throw-ins.

I still think we should go for a rout in the second half

    Roberts – 12 million smackers

    Forrest – xx million smackers – I would say 02 …

    Any other offers?

Imps stay out at halftime – bizarre – Lymmbhoy – there’s no goal links for Griff & Roberts….good 1st half from the bhoys….got a plan and sticking to it….;-))

    H.H.

  5. We need another couple of goals to raise the confidence and profile.

I hope BR doesn’t have us play it tight this half.

Imps will tire and we should take advantage.

  6. Still a very disjointed performance.

The individual weaknesses on show tonight are so distinct that the coaching effort required to sort them out should be well within BR’s capabilities.

Hopefully we do not slow down in the second half.

Another 4 in the second half would be good.

GMS intimidated by Summers on Celts TV.

How is he going do in the SPL… ?

Ha ha – wee Gary needs to get out at weekends..

  8. So far Celtic have done what we wanted. Denied penalty, hit the bar, keeper makes 3 or 4 good saves and score 3. We could have been 7 or 8 up at this stage.

Strangely enough the Imps have looked more comfortable when they started to come forward.

Want a 4th just in case the Imps sneak one and it gets squeaky bum time.

Movement, passing, pressing all brilliant. Heck, even Jamesie won a ball back on one occasion. Thought I was seeing things!

Quite capable of doubling this score. Lost any vestige of sympathy for the Imps when they pressured the inexperienced ref and linesman at the penalty incident.

  10. I’m surprised people can’t find sausages when there are two chipolatas on the pitch.

  11. Fabulous atmosphere inside the ground.still rubbing my eyes from seeing Brendan in the home dugout.resplendent in a suit and commanding respect .

    Happy days

    Update:

Summers changes GMS GMS nappy… not a pretty s*ite…

Hopefully a few more goals in 2nd half – send a message Celts !!!!

    Madmitch.

Individual weaknesses apparent…..who are you talking about…..u want Celts Managing Director to score?

    H.H.

  14. Thanks for the updates Bhoys. Hope for 3 or 4 more goals in the second half.

Trying to drag dinner out as our apartment doesn’t have wi-fi. Costing a fortune!

  15. Just an observation but if you play the team that underperformed for much of last season, you are probably gonna get the same kinda performance. Go figure.

That said, and these are not excuses, just observations, but the pitch last week, the heat last week (and the inclusion of the great slower down of time and football matches, Nir Bitton) were factors! Not quite the same thing but I played the other night on a dry 3G pitch on a very hot evening. Running was a struggle (I’m reasonably fit in comparison to those I play with!) and it did make me think about Gibraltar. Always keep a bit of perspective. Nothing is ever as bad or as good as you might think it is. In football at least.

No matter how big we win tonight we are still far from the finished article. No matter the result in Gibraltar – we were never as bad as some would have us believe (although we were as bad as I have ever seen!). The same might apply, both ways, to any potential league challenge from Govan this season. They might give us a game on occasion, but like Aberdeen, Hearts and others, they won’t be able to keep up over the course.

    Yes.

Paddy is worth it for the “bums on seats ” factor alone.

  17. Where are all the boakin Huns tonight?

    Oh aye that’s right….boakin lol

    Paddy looking IMPerious :-)
