  1. Tried watching on a couple of sausages,

thought we were pretty poor in the first half,

    excellent goal though,

never seen enough of the second half to comment

  2. And apologies for all the typos. Just be thankful i didn’t use the Norwegian keyboard available to me tonight :-)

  3. Anyone who was there tonight, and ,a big round of applause,if you were, got your monies worth with 2 of the best goals of the season.Normal service resumed.Plus points for me,Ajer,Odsonne,,KT,more like his old self,Sinclair, same,Broony,as always, fantastic.I would like to say a word about Boyatta. After the abuse since Sunday,I thought he was terrific. We did not sign a Beckenbaur,we signed a defender, who could defend. The amount of times this boy has to pass the ball in a game,is becoming ridiculous.I noticed tonight,Broony was dropping much deeper to pick up the pass, but not once did Calmac help out.Armstrong was terrific, and the way he celebrated his goal with the GB,tells me,he wants to be here.I hope so.

    BRING ON THE DONS.

  4. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

  5. That’s the monkey off our backs. We can start really humping teams again starting Saturday. Wee ratface’s team Dugdee Tuesday then the Huns, our easiest game on the 30th Hail Hail.

  6. I thought we were OK but Thistle are a poor team. We would need to up another gear or two for the Sheep game.

Loved the Ajer run, I think we need to get a few guys running like this to vary our game a bit.

That Thistle guy who whacked the ball into the crowd could have done someone a serious injury, if that ball smacked a child or someone wearing glasses in the face he could be facing a legal case.

Happy with the 3 points but can’t say I’m over the moon about the game either.

  7. Didn’t see too much of the game due to a crap Celtic TV production, the Mrs treated me to Celtic TV for my Christmas prezzie, it’s crap……

Have a new broadband provider and always said when I get better broadband I would get Celtic TV, with respect to the club, if it doesn’t improve PDQ it will be getting binned as quick as, I reckon I saw about 15-18 mins of the game, the rest it just froze, not a great start Celtic.

    Anyways, good result.

  8. I see quite a few ghuys complaining about Celtic TV.

I watched the game on Celtic TV & had a perfect picture throughout.

  9. Job done tonight. Well done to Brendan and the Bhoys. I was impressed with big Ajer and I’d like to see him get a prolonged run in the side now. Jonny Hayes worked his socks off when he came on and young Johnston did well too.

I’m travelling over from Éire for the sheep game on Saturday and really looking forward to another day in Paradise.

  10. Controlled professional performance from the Bhoys tonight. Still a wee bit profligate in front of goal. But two absolute stunning goals for Armstrong who turned in close to his best performance of the season and from KT with a lovely combination between him and Sinclair. My MOM was Armstrong run close by Broonie and Akers. Wee Mikey J looks like the player we all hoped he would become and I look forward to another few cameos from him this season.

1 win on the road to 70.

    ——-

    Agree totally.

  12. More apple than peachy. Two cracking goals. Not much more.

However, the vociferous moaner in Upper North 404 went at it from BEFORE the game started and continued throughout the match. Why bother?

  13. Poor first half redeemed by a great goal from SA. Better second half. Thought we were far too ponderous in our build up.

I would like to see Where driving forward far more often and Bogart’s doing the same even occasionally. Hope the team take a bit of confidence from the game.

I actually think we will play better against Aberdeen. We will need to.

  14. Brown motm, Armstrong best game this season, Edouard great movement and hold up play, KT back to his maurauding best, Ajer should play in next three before the break and partner Compper after it. Easy win, played in 2nd gear so should be fresh for Saturday

  15. Ajer, Edouard and Mikey all impressed.

At the moment Edouard is the best of the 3 front men.

Griff not looking sharp – had 2 chances when he came on. And Dembele doesn’t seem fit.

  16. Just back from the ground. That was a controlled win against a stuffy, unambitious Thistle. @ great goals and a couple of cameo runs from Ajer, Hayes and Mikey Johnston added some icing to the control that Brown, Armstrong & Tierney established.

That eejit Gary Fraser could get arrested tonight. He blasted that ball right at the crowd a few rows in front of me. If it had hit a child in the head or neck they would have been seriously hurt. Thankfully, it did not but police were taking statements from the people in the seats affected. Although he is an ex-youth player of ours, he offered no apology for his action, leading to Kieran and Broony both taking a couple of pieces out of him on the field.

On to Saturday and a top-of-the-table clash.

  17. You know, football is,as Jimmy Greaves used to say”a FUNNY OLD GAME”.We got beat by Hearts on Saturday,Man U,get beat by a team a division below them,in the League Cup.It is what it is.If we could all predict the results,we would all be millionaires.man U will get over it,as will we.Its football,FFS,sometimes the underdog wins.

  18. I just thought tonight that players who had, seemingly, frozen, had the weight lifted off their shoulders. Its not every team that gets to the record,we got to.No one wants to eff it up.Pressure, after tonight, has gone, bring them on.

  19. Turkeybhoy

Aye, picking winners really isny that easy, there are seven of us in the CQN acca every week, it’s nigh on impossible to get a winning line, most of us try and go for a team round about even money, even if we went for well odds on, we would still struggle to get a line up, as you say, we would all be squillionairs were it that easy.

  20. It was a professional effort against a Thistle side lacking any ambition or quality. Thought Tierney was Man of the Match, his desire to win the ball and drive the team forward was superb. Broonie sat in beside the centre halves and gave them protection and an option all day long. Ajer was impressive again, he should start at the weekend.

The first goal came from a little bit of variation in the play, the ball was played over the top of the PT defender who hooked it out for a throw, From there we drove into the box and what a strike it was. It goes to show it doesn’t always require 30 passes to get into the box.

Edouard gives us something different, whilst not looking particularly likely to score or flashy in any way his contribution is significant and not always obvious. Lustig made a conscious effort to get forward tonight and it did help.

Thought we could have scored a few more, Griff has chances but looks out of sorts. Mikey Johnston looks a great prospect, he looks to have a lot of ability but also has the belief and confidence to back it up, would like to see a lot more of him.

And the first clean sheet in a while too.

    Job done.

  21. Evening all

    Just back home.

Easy win over poor opposition. Sluggish first third of the game but a great goal by Stuart A ended the game as a contest. Did Thistle get a shot on target?

Mikael L and Callum Mac were a bit below par but rest of the team got better as game wore on. Broony and Stuart A were terrific amd Ajer was really impressive. On this showing our best centre back and IMO superior to Nir B in the same role.

    And not freezong

Didn’t see too much of the game due to a crap Celtic TV production, the Mrs treated me to Celtic TV for my Christmas prezzie, it’s crap……

TET,I dont know what your Internet is like, but if its crap, like mine sometimes is,its not CTVs fault, its our internet .I had a connection to a communal box,but my internet was garbage.Under 2.I got advice, and had my whole internet cables redone,a trench dug to my home, and the whole thing ,re connected to my house.Cost ,here in Turkey was 200 quid. That was 2 years ago and now I can get everything brilliantMy internet signal now 4.2.Anyway,HAIL HAIL..

  23. Just seeing the goals on the Twitter feed. Can hear Mark Wilson was co-commentator for Celtic TV tonight. Gerry McCulloch seeing his SMSM pals are ok.

  24. I do not care who tells me”Brendan knows better”I will say that Ajer deserves a run in the team. How will he ever get the experience?.Maybe he should also think of giving Ebouie a game,on a regular basis

We all, well most of us,know this.Lets see them..

  25. I am on a high.5 points clear,with all the pressure on Aberdeen,the Scum,fighting for a top 4 place,whats not to like.

  26. Ntcham for McGregor (who looked knackered tonight) and Dembele (big game player) for Edouard are the only changes I would like to see for Saturday.
