  1. My opinion only

Celtic will welcome this winter break, the team needs to re-charge.

We will go into the break with a 6pt lead at minimum.

    Now today

    Very very dissapointing performance

On the winter break, work on ball retention, and passing to your own team.

Please Brendan, Do not start any game with the midfield 3 of Brown, Armstrong and McGregor.

Work on getting the ball to our forwards in a far more positive manner, we turn back from a position of strength far to often.

    Worth noting to all

We finished that game with 10 of Ronnie Diela’s team

Let Brendan get his own team picked, as Neganon stated, spend some of the money we are making

Onwards to 2018, and hopefully a wee treble

    Hail Hail

  2. Jerry Cornelius on

I remember us playing well and sometimes beating the huns in the early 90s. We still won sod all

  3. I don’t understand those turning on the manager.

He has provided a level of performance we couldn’t imagine under Ronny with basically the same players.

There seems to be a “What have you done for me today” attitude.

The man is a legend. Lay off him.

  4. Drama Queens are back,

Should have had game sown up first half, but they had better chances second half & we could have been beaten,

Sinclair, McGregor, Armstrong & Dembele did very little for the cause.

In fairness they were up for the game & they grew in confidence as the game progressed & you have to give the opposition some credit for our poor display.

A bummer to end the year and it might be a good time to take a wee break from the Blog with no football for 3 weeks .

They now bunk they are level with us and we don’t have any evidence to say otherwise.

    ………………………………………………………………………………………

Can’t you think of any evidence?

    None at all?

    Really?

” The harsh reality is both Levein and Murty have tactically outfought Brendan with inferior players.”

That, quite simply, is not `reality`. It is an opinion.

Mine also.Brendan has to see who can do it,in big games regularly,Europe included, and who cantI am putting my faith in him.Ntcham should be a 1st pick.

  7. The only positives from that game Gordon`s saves and the performance of Ajer.Scott Brown badly needs help in the midfield.Worrying that Armstrong,MacGregor and Forrest can`t impose themselves in a game when needed.Still top of the league but the signs are there that even ordinary teams are working us out.

You are the only person on this site using profanity to make your point . That, for me, is the issue with your posts. Sort of language you expect to see on FF. Wash your mouth out, then make your point …….or go back to your natural habitat.

  9. In the 2nd period that was almost a replay of the Diet Huns game, closing us down forcing mistakes with too many of our team off the pace. Difference the diets took their chances Sevco missed two sitters and Gordon pulled off great saves and was the most worked keeper in the game. Please stop mentioning being tired – huge squad -use them or sell them.

  10. Marrakesh Express on

    Celtic 64% possession Sevco 36%

    Celtic 8 shots sevco 4

Yes we were poor second half but the desperate hun radio love-in has claimed a moral victory.

BR will kick on now. Its been a tough slog since early July and it showed.

I sat not far from that mob and today was as vile a songbook as ive heard since the 60s.

  11. Bad day at the office Bhoys but hey we all have them.

    They had nothing to lose.

We did not lose and need to learn from it.

    Happy New year to all.

    COYBIG.

  12. mike in toronto on

At the end of the day, the result doesn’t really change anything; this team will still win the league, Utah probably not by the margin their skills demand.

What I did not like was the lack of fight displayed. The zombies looked poor, but looked like they wanted it more. I can excuse everything else.. but not that.

  13. Packi Bonner, arguing with Michael Stewart on shortbread.

Who was being logical and pro Celtic??

    Err – Michael Stewart?

  15. BR getting his undergarments in a twist with his MF selection — bad shape and a very poor starting trio.

SA has no future at CP.

  16. Sad state of affairs when the final whistle went and I felt relieved. Although we missed some great first half chances overall we were mince, they obviously missed a few too, let’s hope this three week break sees us back to how we can play

  17. One other point for Paul67 & Winning Captains

WHY IS THE BRITISH ARMY BEING ADVERTISED ON THIS SITE ????!!!!

  18. PHILBHOY on 30TH DECEMBER 2017 2:22 PM

Maybe you should ask a moderator.

Most folk wouldn’t have to ask, but I don’t suppose that’s your fault.

  19. glendalystonsils on

Probably our poorest display against Sevco in their 5 year history. Looked like we were running on empty, especially Dembele ,Sinclair although Armstrong,Mcgregor and Lustig could arguably be added to that list. Sevco played as if their lives depended on it……we played as if a hot bath depended on it.

Break has come at just the right time for us.

  20. Watching the three or four really good chances we had in the first half. It seems some of those getting itvin the neck weren’t as anonymous as it appeared.

Second half was turned in to a contest of who could win the second ball best and until Olivier came on and changed that it was the orcs who were sharper. They were buoyed by not getting humped and I dare say they’d watched Hibs, hearts, st Johnstone, Anderlecht and others stifle us. That’s what we need to get our heads round.

  21. Cowiebhoy – adverts you see are down to cookies and algorithms on your own browser and I suspect also that host sites may well be targeted by various advertisers using the demographics that are likely to use such sites – Football site – young guys – army – seems to be the connection.

I don’t think Paul has a say in it but I could be wrong.

I don’t get the army stuff on my iPhone but I’ve seen it on my laptop. No idea why.

The ads are a general pain in the backside to be honest.

  22. getting all the plaudits when everything is rosy in the garden is deserved , but today’s performance was rank,

too many players hiding today, ML has been poor all season and today he reached a new low, our passing is all to deliberate , not many will like this but KT is struggling as is SS, we have badly missed PR big style.

never thought i say this but even SB was loosing out on tackles he was favourite to win, don’t buy this the players are tired excuse we have the biggest squad and players have been rested for various games.

Boner has really gone down in my estimation, sadly for me he is also a Donegal man. Another Ex Celt who has excepted a large bowl of soup from the establishment. Thankfully there seems to be a new stock of pundits – Stewart & Sutton etc who are prepared to tell it like it is regardless of upsetting ‘the establishment’

    ERNIE LYNCH

Is that another one of your facts or is it just your opinion?

    Cheers Ernie.

Not many people feel they can answer Phil back without being silenced or deleted.

Phil, I love your site, your exclusives and think JJ was completely out of order for apparently revealing your sources the other day, but think you need to get a grip when it comes to Celtic under-performing against those animals. Having to listen in the pub to their horrible song book and five of them turning up ten minutes beforethhe end of the game in McCooleys (6 tricolours outside), Liverpool with poppy’s on is a bit much for me.

  25. Will no doubt be Google Display Ads…

Nothing can be worse than video celts on your phone – half the time you need to reload the page various times to stop an ad covering the entire page.
