    Paul.

    Thanks for this great site.

Sorry for all the agro your getting today for: commenting and not commenting, disagreeing with some and agreeing with others, for believing in Celtic but not innuendo. Thanks for providing a forum: for folk to have a dig, for folk to find other forums; for talking dogs and bitches bitching, for helping us to feed kids in Africa without all the fireworks, for face to face hootenannies and gameday play by play, for bringing the world wide Celtic support together everyday, for argy bargies and cyber pints, for trips into the past and tactical analysis…

Hope you Enjoy the game today.

Here’s to winning the group and being seeded in 2020.

I liked this post from yesterday.

  3. I won’t dispute anyone’s right to post or not post on their blog of choice.

CQN has been harder to enjoy recently, for technical reasons, but has many plus points in the calibre of posts made.

For months there have been regular posts urging Paul67 to say something about Res. 12, Scottish football corruption or the Celtic Board and decrying his failure to do so. Yet the minute he responds with a statement that is negative about our hopes of judicial or administrative justice, some will pack up and leave CQN.

I have never understood our demand that the blog provider sets the lead. He rarely has in the past and he has modestly described his own blog in terms of – he supplies the platform and others come on to dance or sing there.

There are many fine posters with whom I have points of disagreement- mostly on the relative merits of James Forrest as a player- but, even though I am bemused by their views I do not hold them to be so egregiously wrong that I cannot share company with them.

Now res 12, and corruption are far bigger issues than whether James is a good player or not {anyway- that point has been settled in my favour :-) } but, even so- what was so wrong with someone having a different idea. As I read it, I found Paul’s expressed opinion confusing but probably a bit defeatist, suggesting it was not worth carrying on with this as we would never get justice because of a lack of appetite amongst movers and shakers. He was also a little off-point about the intentions of Res. 12, as Canamalar pointed out.

If that was what he meant, I fundamentally disagree with him, but I do not see it as a red line issue. The fact that Paul67 had, or has now developed, a contrary view on Res. 12 does not diminish CQN for me. He has never censored anyone for expressing an anti-Board view, or proposing the merits of Res. 12 and other issues, or even using CQN as a means to publicise and organise around these issues. He has been a help to matters of justice, despite his opposing views, it seems, on the matter. Only swearing , libel and promoting illegal streams are barred on here, and most blogs take a strong line on the latter two.

Finally, despite my own dissatisfactions with aspects of the blog, I can find time to post here and elsewhere; I can have more than one pub. We do not have to retreat into our own echo chambers. In any case, we are all Scots & Celts- we will soon find points of disagreement in our new place too.

I wonder sometimes why the blog has gone into a bit of a decline. Perhaps, Paul has lost a level of interest that he once had. Perhaps he has issues to face of his own that he’d rather not talk about on here. Frankly, I don’t know and I do not really need to know.

What I do know is that, if the accusation is that he is in Peter’s pocket, and cannot say anything that offends the suits, that does not tally with the state of this blog. Celtic Plc cannot be paying or bribing Paul with much as the Blog does not resemble a shiny plaything. Sentinel Celts is easier to post on, so are many other good Celtic sites.

Without poster traffic, without posters that you want to read, CQN will diminish and that is a shame.

Paul is, in my opinion, wrong and badly expressed in his views on Res 12 and Wednesday’s events. I am prepared to remain on here and debate and present views in opposition to what he said. I don’t feel compelled, at all, to take myself away or to insult the man personally when I know not where he is in his life at this stage.

P.S. – I noticed Babasonicos was back on briefly before returning to lurking. There are many oldies on here who never get to hear any newer music without his music links. I hope he can make an exception and still visit CQN on Friday or Saturday nights.

    Great post!

The lack of respect shown to Paul by some disgruntled posters on here is disgusting!

Talk about a sense of entitlement!

This site is where I get my Celtic news and long may it continue.

Sorry to see BGFC leaving the site and was pleased to read that his departure was calm and dignified .

A really nice ghuy who I had the pleasure of meeting at the last HOOT.

Hope you are back on soon!

  7. “How much do you think he is worth,35_40 million”Asked on BT last night, regards Morelos.

Worse,BBJ agreeing.!!!!!!!!.Has the world gone mad?.

Now I think he is a good striker,no blinkers here, but we are continually told that players playing in SPFL,will have to prove themselves outside it before clubs will pay mega money. Not I seems with Hun players. The propanda is certainly working, again today from Seething. He has now gone up to 50 million.

And he would not part with him for that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Aye right, but you can see where this is going.

Maybe a lesson we should be learning.

  8. The Manky Mob could feasibly get 20-25 million for Morelos. Any talk of anything above that is hyperbole.

  9. SETTING FREE THE BEARS FOR RES. 12 & OSCAR KNOX on 29TH NOVEMBER 2019 8:59 AM

‘For months there have been regular posts urging Paul67 to say something about Res. 12, Scottish football corruption or the Celtic Board and decrying his failure to do so. ####

No offence, but that’s dissembling nonsense.

It was this description of posters that caused the offence.

‘I don’t buy the falsehood that it is somehow in Celtic’s interest to make this go away, that notion is paranoid nonsense, only blame-the-victim fantasists believe it.’

Res 12 has succeeded to the extent that it has exposed the board (and their lackeys) for what they are.

Sadly it’s all come too late to achieve anything more than that.

On a separate but related point you mention the technical difficulties in using this site. They’ve been known about for long enough and could have been rectified long ago if there had been any desire to do so. That they haven’t is indicative of a level of disdain for site users. The level of disdain you might expect from someone who refers to posters as espousing paranoid nonsense and being blame the victim fantasists.

  10. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Greetings from a brighter than of late Central Highlands. Today the mercury is skulking at a lowly minus 1c.

I checked the ole updated UEFA rankings this morning and it’s official, Lenny is a better Manager than Narcissus Fraudgers. Fraudgers’ garnered 7, 8 and 6 co-efficient points in his three* seasons in European competition with Celtic. This year, Lenny has already achieved 9 points, and could of course, improve on that figure (he has at least three more games to do that).

We are currently ranked as the 46th best team in Europe, based on the five year cycle that UEFA use for ranking purposes.

With our win, and Sevco’s draw last night, Scotland’s National Club co-efficient (5 Year) improved by .75, and we leapfrogged Cyprus into 15th place as a result.

Interestingly, if you just look at the current season, Scotland lie in an vertiginous 5th place in the Rankings. To better understand the magnitude of this statistic, I should point out that we are the only country in this seasons top ten, that don’t benefit from Bonus Points, or “Even mair money for rich leagues” points, that I like to think of them as.

This post was obviously brought to you, by a guy that dizny have a job to go 🤓

  11. Couldn’t go to the game last night, our tickets did, but not us. Went to see Rod the Mod at the Hydro.

Broony apparently suggested to Rod that he should cancel the concert and go to Celtic Park! £3 Mio in gate receipts, nae chance Broony!

Twas a great night, lots of references to Celtic including a score update from the stage at 2-0 which got a huge cheer, no’ many Huns in I would suggest!

Watched the abbreviated highlights on the BT Sports App, some cracking goals and big Fraser doing his thing again so looks like it was a good game.

  12. This IS a great site and has been for years. Sure there are differing opinions but hey, if we all agreed with each other, how boring would that be,eh.

Sheep are funny animals. Once one decides to run, the rest, in a blind panic, follow!!!!!

So long live this site, after all, we all have the love of Celtic in common. The club is what we love, and sometimes the players, but players, managers, directors all move on in time, butCELTIC stays and always will

  13. Roll on Sunday and Wednesday.8 goal from the two games would be nice.A bit surprised Lenny did not give Griff more game time ,hopefully change that next couple of games.Morgan, although a great goal last night,is not a striker.

  14. My friends in Celtic,

A great result last night with a lot of ” firsts ” built in.

I remember a number of years back Winning Captains getting vilified on here about a post.He left shortly after. ( Don’t really know the reason )

If I remember rightly, Winning Captains was instrumental in setting up and maintaining the revised blog.

It seemed to go downhill when he left.

HH to all, the journey continues.

  19. Hello again all you young rebels.

Isn’t funny how you’ve spent hours deliberating whether you

should stop seeing, talking to, posting on, or just recognising

    something or someone you love?

It’s a bit like that on CQN at the moment.

The way i’m looking at it, doesn’t matter what the header is and

whether it’s pro board or anti board we can all make our own

    minds up.

My mind is made up, Paul has chosen his path, he may be right

    maybe i’m wrong?

But … and i mean a big .. big fexxin but… don’t try to deceive a very well

educated Celtic support with P.R. propaganda.

  20. I was at the Rod Stewart gig on Tuesday. Plenty of Celtic strips in audience, and some silverware-lifting footage on the big screen during You’re In My Heart. Huge cheer of course.

The support act said that there were some Lisbon Lions in the audience but he didn’t say who. Bertie I’d imagine, although I didn’t see him. I did see big Ajer though – hard to miss him! Also Broonie was a few rows in front of us. He got pestered non-stop for selfies right up until showtime, and even once the concert started!

He was cheerful, gracious and happy to pose with everyone who asked. Seems to be a true gentleman. My wife couldn’t believe this was the same tough nut she sees kicking and snarling on the pitch!

I liked this post from today ………………. about a great post from yesterday. Seriously people, our lives would be a great deal poorer if we did not have CQN to come on to each day and do all of the things listed above. We should be grateful to Paul 67 for providing us with this platform.
