    Agree with all who said what a disgusting lot of time wasting cheats st Mirren were. Ref was worse than compliant and seemed to encourage. From where I sat none of our players or manager said anything though. Clement is in the 4th officials ear. Our guys could learn from this. Today was so bad by St Mirren and we will play them again.

     

     

    Credit to our guys on the park in horrible conditions and the support who largely stick with the team today. We even had a few actual Celtic songs from the green brigade.

    B67- I agree,players on the park should be into referees every week, we are the only team that doesn’t. But Robinson telling his GK to go down after 40 minutes is a new low

    3 mins injury time at half time was incredible…it was minimum 6…..I thought 4 was very stingy at second half as well….

    FFs. They only have survival in the SPFL to worry about. For most of them it’s a livelihood.

     

     

    Not much I guess to some entitled types who think 5 trebles in 7 years is not good enough.

     

     

    Likewise Dundee. Nothing to play for now. Well maybe European Football for the first time in about 2 generations. Only 3 points behind St Mirren with a game in hand. 5th gets Europe if Aberdeen (currently 20/1) don’t win the Scottish cup. Nothing to play for ????

    Astonished we never seem to do this.

     

     

    From minute 1 they were at it.

     

     

    John Kennedy or other coaches should be hollering on the 4th officials ear Re this. The Mike to the ref is always on. Get on it from the start and it might make a difference. We see the other lot do it all the time.

     

     

    Every dead ball a st Mirren player was having a hat with Mclean.

     

     

    Anyway off to walk my wee dog. We live near Mclean so maybe the wee dog might leave a wee present for him on his front lawn. He deserves worse.

    Agree with what is being said about us not having a go at Mibs. Watched Newcastle today, they were winning by miles and were still at it. Going down squealing then the wee sneaky look up at the ref to see if he’s buying it. I heartily disapprove of this behaviour but if everyone else is doing it are we missing a trick?

     

    I agree that Ross Certainly have something to play for, maybe less so Dundee. Fancy a wee bet on Simon Murray anytime scorer tomorrow. Anticipating massive cheating tomorrow.

    If Dundee were to qualify for Europe it would be the 2nd time in 50 years.

     

     

    Although 61 years ago they reached the semi finals of the European Cup and even best Milan 1-0 at home but went down 5-2 in agg. They beat Cologne, Sporting Lisbon and Anderlecht en route. I am thinking their fans and players will be thinking this season is far from over. They may yet also have 2 home games vs rangers to play also. If not that then Kilmarnock or St Mirren will play that lot at home a3rd time.

    I love a conspiracy theory like the next person .. Dundee & Ross Co will be playing for win bonuses .. would be delighted if they got something against Cheat FC .. but more than happy it’s in “our” hands

    I do worry that one bad day of officiating could see us lose this league. Especially as they’re getting all the help the refs and VAR can muster.

    I was actually happy there was little time added at the end of the first half, because of the wind. That St Mirren players should have been punished for their persistent time wasting is another altogether. How many of their players went down and stayed down every few minutes.? And the mib didn’t even warn any of them, as far as I could see.

    For anyone that likes a bet, Paddy Power are offering evens on Tavpen anytime scorer tomorrow.

     

     

    They’re also offering 6/5 for a penalty to be awarded during the game.

     

     

    For those that don’t bet, evens means you can double your money if it comes in.

    It seems the most informed sites are suggesting rangers will go a 3rd time to dens (oh the irony) and we will go away to St Mirren and Killie.

     

     

    Timing of these games could be important. Eg if we play Killie once 4th place is secure it maybe be easier. Likewise for rangers who have them at home. Similarly hearts will likely guarantee third place by the 3rd post split game. So we would want them at home after that. Likewise we want rangers at Tynecastle first after split.

     

     

    The dogfight which could go to the wire will be st Mirren and Dundee for 5th.

    I have a great view in the main stand rear,around 40 minutes, ball was in midfield, Robinson gestured to the GK to go down…..a different type of cheating now…

    Slow motion maybe but still going to ground to get an unfair advantage.

    Well that is our league games over for a couple of weeks, and we do not know yet who we will be playing next in the SPL. I’m guessing it depends on how our Glasgow rivals do over their next two games, could be wrang.

     

    Anyways we’ve got the points in the bank, four clear, wee bit of pressure.

     

    Next up for us is the Cup, got a good record there, so do not want to hear any talk of sacrificing it for whatever inexplicable reason folks come up with. “When the cheers go up……” thats my song ma mantra.

     

    The other of course being One Game at a Time…..

    No I agree that Dundee could have eyes on Europe. It’s maybe about how much they believe it.

     

    Ross County have livelihoods at stake. I just thought that was maybe more urgent for their players.

    But you are spot on. My paranoia puts us at Home to the Huns first then away to Kilmarnock. It’s a daft system. If you don’t play the same home and away it isn’t a genuine league

    Think Sky have Liverpool v Spurs that day at 4.30pm, only other Engurlund game is Chelsea 2pm (not on tv) so Sky have a schedule to fill …

     

     

    Bank holiday weekend into the bargain… am just glad it won’t be the 12th, wee great nephews communion then the OVO to see Matt O’Riley get his player of the year award

    Morning from a dry and bright R’glen – currently.

     

    Very happy with the points yesterday after a sticky 1st half but would have liked a few more goals and think they were there to be had but points were the key.

     

    However the ref performance especially in the 1st half was appalling and the time wasting and gamesmanship was off the chart. It is a sad state of affairs when this is clearly coached into players. As sad as that is it is worse that it is allowed by refs – it is so obvious what they are doing it nothing gets done in fact 1st half yesterday had me tearing my hair out when they put up 3 mins – it could have been 10 mins and it would have been ridiculous so blatant was the time wasting and injury stoppages.

    Not sure who to blame most but the coaching is an embarrassment. St Mirren players were clearly told to dive, to kick the ball away, to stand in front of ball at FKs to us, to adjust socks before going to take a throw in, stand with the ball in had for a minute before dropping the ball for another player to come along and do the same thing. This new one they have now of throwing another ball on the pitch to negate the quick throw in etc. is especially frustrating and premeditated. I think it is disgusting that teams are coached to do this however they have to be let away with it and that’s exactly what the refs do. Ultimately they watch it and do nothing which condones it which means it will continue. As ref you are either to thick to see what is happening in front of you or your in on the game – mmmmmm?

     

    There were two occasions yesterday when players got away from markers with skill and speed despite being blatantly pulled back – an easy booking once play had stopped – outcome……. nothing. Not applying the rules plain and simple cheating. The one thing he did yesterday which was good was play on when players were down feigning injury – credit where due.

     

    Lastly our wonderful SMSM – I didn’t hear any half time analysis as there is no phone reception at CP but can only imagine the plaudits being handed out to St Mirren on the basis of that first half. Fair play to them they did defend fairly well and tried to get forward but as a broadcaster promoting the game how can the coached time wasting be ignore and worse praised – if you want to end the spectacle and clear stadiums that is how you do it.

    Sadly ” Corach Rambler” UNSEATED the Jockey at the very 1st Fence, so Punters like me didnt even get a run for their money.

     

     

    I would have Won a right few Quid if Corach Rambler had Won however,

     

     

    I had ALSO Placed a few Bets on ” I AM MAXIMUS” between Friday and Saturday at odds of 8/1 and 7/1. Thankfully it Won, I got around £200 back from the Bookies after all.

     

    There is NO RULE that says that you can ONLY back ONE Horse in any Race !

    Delighted with our win yesterday and we know what is required from everyone the downside for me was with that blustery wind it was a poor decision to throw a display with all the rubbish ending on the park.

     

    Also I feel the song choices a bit odd latley in this title push as not much Celtic songs being sung or songs for players like Kyogo our talisman he doesn’t have his own chant even especially after 2 great goals for us to take the lead and advantage I thought. Just a wee rant sorry.

     

     

    Brilliant delivery for both goals by AJ finding his form at a good time.

     

     

    I’m sure we witnessed a first with 4 substitutions coming on midway through the second half.
