  1. Motherwell have equalised in the 94th minute against Hibs, which means Dundee’s game against the Huns is meaningless.

    Ffs Hibs! 😡💩🤷🏼‍♂️

  2. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

Excellent 2nd half, great result. AJ MoTM. Hatate & CCV in the medal positions.

  3. glendalystonsils on

Mibbe after Clements outburst and Sevco’s ‘statement’ , Dundee won’t treat it as a dead rubber .

  4. Well done Celtic, we got there in the end.

I was hoping for 4 – 0, but my Bets do NOT matter, just as long as the Celts keep WINNING !

  5. Another goal for kyogo and Adam and Another 70 mins into reo’s legs.

    Job donecsc

  6. Good result, which is all that matters at this stage of the season. But also some good goals, particularly Hatate’s finish.

    Come on the Staggies!

  7. Thought the Celts were at it today -fast crisp passing. Hatate is some player and I liked Khuns speed and work rate. CCV the usual leader performance. Taylor was the only downside – takes too long at throws ins , passes back too often and was off with his forward play today.

Ref not applying the rules – 2 x simulation should have been bookings. Only 4mins injury time when they had players down and there were around 6-7 subs . Huns got 8mins extra time in the first half against ross county – not a single injury. Officials are at it!

Outlook – excited about our attacking play but not happy about how easily ball get into our box from wide areas – especially on Taylor side – I’d play Ralston in that position.

  8. !!Bada Bing!! on

Brilliant result, you had to be there to see how bad the wind was…

    2 strikers scored,excellent

Would have bitten your hand off for 3-0 at HT, so delighted with the result 😀

First half performance a bit of a worry given every game is a must win.

Elsewhere, it’s as you were at the bottom even if RC lose tomorrow and Dundee are top six, so neither RC nor Dundee have anything to play for. It also looks like apart first and second, the rest of the top six is decided do hell knows how they’ll perform in the remaining games.

Hope for nothing elsewhere, win our games and we win the league.

As for Hibs. Dearie, dearie me.

  10. Family duties beckoned today, could not watch the game,

Just popped in to say fabulous result.

‘Celtic wear down buddies to stretch premiership lead’.

BBC headline on Newsnow . Making it sound as dreary as possible . Written by a guy called Clive Lindsay, who reckons our third goal was “harsh on the visitors” . That’s despite the article ending with the match stats which show us having 73% possession, 18 shots with 9 on target to Saints 2 shots , 0 on target .

Someone must be getting a wee bit anxious , methinks .

  12. Good second half today with the wind behind us

First half was a struggle with it in our faces

Lots of time wasting and diving in the 1st half that, again, went unpunished

  13. Stebhoy

Couldn’t agree more. Not just the cheating Hun referees we have here but in European games as well. When the match finishes should not be up to the referee. Player injured, keeper takes ages to take a goal kick, substitutions, stop the clock. When it gets to 90 minutes, game ends when the ball goes out of play. Hearing the referee and the Hun with a telly, broadcast the discussion and the reason for the decision. We have a lot to learn from rugby

  14. Big pressure on the huns, their refs and their var now in the next 2 games

Both games are televised which may (lol) keep them in check but if there is any adversity expect var and penalty cards to get pulled

“……… so neither RC nor Dundee have anything to play for.”

You are of course right about Dundee (unfortunately), but Ross County are 4 points behind St Johnstone in second bottom as things stand so a win (I know) tomorrow would have them breathing down St Johnstone’s neck in the race to avoid the play-off position. Every and any wee incentive for teams to actually ‘play’ against the Hun is to be grabbed.

Emaraldbee, yes they can look at it as a ‘free hit’, but also not worse off if they lose.

Re Dundee, just looking at a picture of Dundee players celebrating a nil nil/top six as if they’ve won the Champions League. Wouldn’t be surprised if the huns hammer them mid week.

  17. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Quelle suprise…..Shortie’s first caller is “a Celtic fan” to ask Boabby about last week’s penalty at Mordor.

Guess what? Boabby thought it was a penalty 😮😂

  18. glendalystonsils on

I am anticipating the huns beating everyone except us . I’m sure that’s the way Brendan and the team will be approaching it too . I would be willing to sacrifice the cup final too , if it meant winning the league . Although if we have the league in the bag , I think the spirit will be knocked out of them by the cup final .

  19. Dundee’s best chance of taking points off Sevco was the original date – Sevco were looking burnt out, had injuries and Dundee were in decent form.

We can’t rely on others – do the business ourselves.

  20. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

Nor should we, but do you think Dundee would be more or less focused against the huns if they needed points to make the top 6?

Would RC be more or less focused tomorrow if Livingston and St Johnston both won today?

It’s a cliche, but professional sport is very, very fine margins.

  21. bigrailroadblues on

The Celtic win again. The wonderful Glasgow Celtic. 3 points. Get it right up ye ya hun canutes. And that’s me being diplomatic. 😂

  22. From the BBC Match Report , “ St Mirren threatened a first home defeat since Hearts’ visit in December, “

…. complete drivel designed to sow fear , uncertainty and doubt (fud) sales technique , the old IBM you need to buy from us.

In what planet did St Mirren threaten anything , perhaps to be even more unsporting than Livingston …. Utter claptrap

  23. Pressure off Dundee.Stop writing teams off.On a high.Ross County in dire straights of relegation,so nothing for them to play for !!!!!!!!.Sometimes I think some on here live in a bubble.Dont seem to watch, pay attention to anything else.

I mentioned today, the boy Szmodics playing today, who we are showing great interest in.No reaction,no comments, but if we do sign him, shock.WTFIH,another project?.Think most watched the Spurs game.

Carry on regardless.Oh,and never mind” I would give up the Cup”bollox. We want the Double.

  24. it was a lopsided performance today

In the first half we sent too many attacks down the left with Taylor-Hatate & Yang and all they achieved was a loss of possession without penetrating or a recycle back the way.

Our right side with AJ, Matt and Kuhn was a little better. AJ’s passing was sloppy, Matt was in and out but Kuhn was beating his man and then was unable to find a Celtic shirt in the box.

But AJ has steel balls, and despite being off it in the first half, he persevered and made two great assists for our opening goal.

As with Ibrox, no one was outstanding today. My top 3 were probably CCV, AJ and probably Nawrocki for being no-nonsense- everyone else ws inconsistent or poor but they persevered and should prevent Sevco from improving the goal difference this weekend.

Best player on the pitch was probably Gogic for them- a whole hearted performance with a bit of hardness thrown in.

Ref was shocking- ignored pull back bookings and tolerated piss-taking time wasting. We only got 3 mins ET in the first half when players were down seeking treatment on around 5 occasions. We lost more than 3 minutes in delayed kick off restarts and the ref indulged this.

  25. THE BLOGGER FORMERLY KNOWN AS GM on 13TH APRIL 2024

Someone mentioned Dundee celebrating like “job done”. As Turkeyboy said, they might play with freedom but in sport there’s a difference between wanting to win and needing to win.

However, this shouldn’t be our focus. We played today. We won. Do that five more times and we’re champions.
