Celtic visit last team to hurt them

136

Hibernian sit joint bottom of the SPL, above Dunfermline only on goal difference, but they have collected seven of their 19 points in the last four games and have not lost a goal in almost a month.  For all Hibs poor early season form, they were the last team to take a point from the league leaders.  No Celtic fan will need to be reminded that one of the 12 points Hibs earned in their first 21 league games of the season was won in a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park.  You suspect Neil Lennon will often use the word “complacency” in pre-match team-talks before playing bottom of the table teams, but no one in the Celtic team will need to hear this word today.

Come rain, hail or shine; win, draw or defeat, Celtic fans will stream into Easter Road today determined to have a party, but yesterday’s Kilmarnock will at Ibrox demonstrates how footballers don’t always read the script.

Three points today will be a huge achievement for Celtic.

  1. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!..OUR DAY HAS COME. on

In all of this, and ma heed is soar ‘taking it all in’, there are 4 indisputable FACTS……..

1)…..There is no way HMRC are going to be be lenient to rfc in any way….they need to go for the jugular, since they are also ‘investigating’ circa 8 EPL Clubs, and they need to be very careful not to set any precedents….they need to ‘send out a message’ ……so, back in your box, politicians

2)…..If the media had done their job 5 to 10 years ago, rfc would not be in this mess, and we would have had a ‘level playing field’ ….’complicit’ springs to mind….this aspect is giving me particular satisfaction, since they know what they have done……!!!!

3)….The Celtic Board deserve enormous credit…..they ‘saw this all coming’ and protected the Club they love…..!!!!

4)……We are going to win this league (in line with NATURAL JUSTICE), and the future is very bright for the Club we love…….’GOD’ going forward, and I am going to enjoy watching my team, without wondering if the ref is going to ‘play the game’…..IN A SPORTing manner.

WE HAVE COME THROUGH THE BATTLES, AND HAVE WON THE WAR……NEIL, FANS, BOARD, PAUL, PHIL, RTC, CQN (AND ALL CELTIC ‘SITES’), TAKE A BOW….!!!!!!!!!!!

totally agree re Taxpayers Alliance. They are a pressure group for the rich. Main aim is to pay less tax.

38degrees.com is a pressure group that is against tax dodging and obviously UKUncut have done a lot of demonstrating over the tax avoidance by major corporations. You may or may not agree with their particular tactics

YES.And tell him to be quick about it you have a party to watch at 3/

  4. So at Half time the Pittodrie DJ plays I’m a taxman.

Think he’s having a pop and that the Aberdeen support would support them being kept in the SPL?

    No; me neither.

  5. Awe_Naw_No_Annoni_Oan_Anaw_Noo on

I think a few fan groups should get together and demand answers BEFORE any ST are bought for next season.

  6. i remember the Hibs game well, I was home in Scotland for that game and we were absolutely Craig Whyte, it was the first time this season whenI thought holy fek, they’re going to win the league, it crossed my mind again on November 6th when we went down 1-0 early against Motherwell and thankfully never crossed my mind again.

If this season could be played out on paper the flag would have been hoisted after the first game of the season, fortunately it’s plyed out on the park and every team has a right to beat us, however with our form since that Hibs game, teams once again must be Whyting themselves at the thought of playing us, long may it continue

If there’s any deal with the taxman, it’ll be on the PAYE unpaid “small bill” – the Tax Tribunal haven’t delivered their verdict on the big issue.

Well said spot on. The Taxpayer Alliance are a anti-trade union organisation who are against the public sector, they are a right-wing thinktank for the Tory party with the sole purpose of protecting the rich. I would think the Taxpayer Alliance would see nothing wrong with what Minty and Craigie boy are doing as it is no different from what their financial backers are doing.

Sell the Big Hoose now to Tesco so they can pay their taxes

  10. There can be no deal yet, maybe on the new middle tax bill of 9 mill. That said Duff and his buddy have yet to free up funds from redundancies so I can’t see where money would come from to strike a deal as yet.

Morning all from a still mild KY winter!

Surprised Samaras has been benched given his run of form, maybe Stokes is champing at the bit for a start against hi old club.

  12. Ten Men Won The League on

I’m happy with that line up

Against ICT + Hearts we needed Sammi’s height.

The game today will be tough. Hibs are joint bottom and will be scrapping for everything

The Hoops to come from behind and win 2-1

  13. 67Heaven ... I am Neil Lennon..!!..OUR DAY HAS COME. on

Bournesoup recipe…..CORRECT…..nothing can be agreed on the BIG one until the tribunal decision is arrived at

  14. Understandably, Neil has gone back to Hooper and Stokes, something he does when he doesn’t rate the opposition. In the case of Hibs at Easter Rd, while Stokes did very well in Celtic’s first game of the season, Hooper has not been much cop in either that or the cup game. As a pair, they add goals to the team and not much else, which is fine for games where opposing teams don’t offer much fight. That said, one thing that can’t be forgotten is their staggering 94% success record from 38 starts together.

This team looks strongest in the middle of the park, with Brown and Wanyama’s recent performances in the centre, and Rogne/Wilson looking good to see out the season. Out wide is decent but uninspiring, although I imagine Ledley will move more to the inside, while Forrest will join in with attacks, leaving Matthews a bit vulnerable to the counter.

  16. Stokes didn`t deserve to be left out and now Sammi is unlucky. Most of the bench today could have been in the team.

  17. back to football then… let’s not give them one single thing to cheer about from now until they die…

  18. In capos in bellshil. U2 on jukebox. Brilliant. Only thing is they have sold out on jelly n ice cream. HAIL HAIL

  19. Can anyone clarify how the SFA can get away with a statment that they were blocked in their attempts to find out if Whyte was a fit and proper person. So let me get this right they allow him to continue without the proper checks. Hello that should tell you something the feeling they are constantly playing catch up here or behind the curve on everything that is taking place over there.Or is it the well known management technique CYA (cover your ass)

  20. Hail hail

Did I just hear Neil McCann on sky sports say

“this title will be devalued because of the problems at aye brokes”

Come on you bhoys in green win every game and do the treble

  21. So the Scottish media, allied to a few political charlatans, deign to tell us and the rest of the world that Celtic and Scottish football need Rangers.

Rangers . . . who have cheated the taxpayer and the crown they proclaim to hold dear; who are intent on renaging on their contractual obligation to pay Heart of Midlothian much needed capital; who are with-holding ticket money due to Dundee United and Dundermline Athletic; whose supporters turned up in defiant numbers at Ibrox yesterday and gave us an afternoon of bigoted and sectarian chanting and singing as a tribute to their team and their “culture”.

Oh yes. We all need Rangers FC. Like America needed slavery and South Adrica thrived on apartheid.

  22. Ok today i will mainly be wearing a Lubo (Number 25) long sleeved number. I had consider the Sutton or BBJ but decided on Lubo’s shirt. Henke’s ,Number 7, shirt only gets worn when we play Der Hun. I guess i won’t be wearing that too much in the future then ;-)
