CONFIRMED: CELTIC SQUAD FOR LATVIA

ODSONNE EDOUARD, who sat out Celtic’s 3-2 win over Livingston at the weekend, is ready to lead the line in the Europa League qualifier against FC Riga in Latvia on Thursday.

The French ace asked boss Neil Lennon to leave him out of his line-up for the visit of Gary Holt’s West Lothian outfit as he watched the action from the stand.

However, Edouard was named in the squad of 24 that will fly to Latvia for the crucial encounter.

Shane Duffy and David Turnbull are also in line to make their European debuts for the Hoops in the tricky third qualifying tie, according to Glasgow Live.

The Republic of Ireland central defender, who has scored two goals in his three outings since arriving on a season-long loan deal from Brighton, and the Scotland Under-21 international midfielder, who cost £3.25million from Motherwell, both have a chance of getting a nod to play.

Leigh Griffiths, who has yet to figure in a competitive game in this campaign, has also been included in the travelling pool as he works his way back to full fitness.

Full squad: Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain, Conor Hazard, Christopher Jullien, Shane Duffy, Greg Taylor, Jermie Frimpong, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Nir Bitton, Scott Brown, Ismaila Soro, Kristoffer Ajer, Tom Rogic, Olivier Ntcham, Luca Connell, James Forrest, Callum McGregor, Leigh Griffiths, Albian Ajeti, Patryk Klimala, David Turnbull, Ryan Christie, Odsonne Edouard and Mohamed Elyounoussi.
