GET READY TO PARTY: DETAILS TODAY

CELTIC will learn today the post-split fixture schedule after a delay of 24 hours in the anticipated announcement.

The champions are in a position to clinch their second successive title in the first match – scheduled for Saturday May 6 – and Hoops fans are eager to discover when they can party.

The SPFL had been expected to confirm the scheduling yesterday, but protracted negotiations between league bosses and broadcasters meant no firm decision could be made. All issues, including discussions with Police Scotland, will be finalised at some stage today.

Ange Postecoglou’s side face a home game against St Mirren and a trip to Ibrox next month. They are awaiting to discover who they will play at Parkhead among the trio of Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs.

The Hoops have already played all three at Parkhead twice this season, so it means one of the clubs will have to forfeit a home fixture against the team on the brink of clinching their eleventh crown in 12 years, as CQNreported at the weekend.

The top six is scheduled for a conclusion on May 27 with the other six clubs playing their final fixtures 24 hours later.
