CELTIC are closing in on a £2.5million deal for Rapid Vienna winger Nicolas Kuhn.
The German winger is poised to become the champions’ first signing of the 2024 window with the clubs now negotiating the final details of the contract, as reported in the Scottish Sun.
Left-footed Kuhn, who has been playing on the right for the Austrian outfit, has been tracked by the Hoops since the start of the campaign and Rodgers has received glowing reports.
ON HIS WAY…Nicolas Kuhn is likely to be Celtic’s first signing in 2024.
The one-time RB Leipzig, Ajax and Bayern Munich forward has become a priority target for the Irishman as he bolters his options among his wide players.
The 24-year-old flanker cost £500,000 when he joined from the Bundesliga giants two seasons and has seen his value soar with consistent displays.
The ex-Germany Under-20 cap has scored three goals with seven assists this time out.
Five years ago, he cost £1.8million when he moved to Amsterdam, but Kuhn failed to settle and joined the Munich aces 12 months later.
Rapid bought him 18 months ago and he is under contract until 2026.
