‘WOW,’ JOE HART IN CELTIC LOVE-IN

THE Celtic fans gave a rousing reception of “Super Joe” in recognition of the departing keeper’s vital contribution to the champions’ 3-0 victory over Hearts at Parkhead yesterday.

Joe Hart, with just four games left before quitting the club in the summer, pulled off a stunning one-handed save to deny Cammy Devlin the equaliser after Kyogo Furuhashi’s opener.

And it was the 37-year-old 75 times capped England international netminder to the rescue again when he blocked a close-range drive from Yurtaro Oda with the Hoops leading 2-0 after another strike from the Japanese personality.

S-T-R-E-T-C-H…Joe Hart spectacularly turns away a netbound effort from Hearts’ Cammy Devlin.

The 60,000 crowd vocalised their appreciation – and afterwards Hart returned the compliment when he reflected on the Hoops moving six points clear at the top of the Premiership with only three games to play, two in the east end of Glasgow againsr Rangers on Saturday and St Mirren on May 18 with a midweek trip to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock sandwiched in between.

The veteran shotstopper, speaking to Celtic TV, said: “The atmosphere was electric. Wow! You just can’t get enough of that.

“But it’s one game. We got the job done and we move on.

“The squad effort is amazing. You can see the energy that the boys coming on bring and the competition for places is really good.

“You can’t win anything without a squad.”
