    Excellent build up for midweek, team are gelling all over the park, still a wee bit hesitant when defending but Efe and Dirk must be giving everyone a bit of confidence.

    People can question Stokes’ intelligence off the pitch all they want but on it he’s a very clever player. Maybe not in the poacher sense but his movement off the ball and quick thinking on it is tremendous at times. Call it instinctive if you want, it’s just a quicker form of intelligence.

     

     

    He’s a 20+ goals striker with a partner next to him – Stokes and Pukki together will score for fun.

    FT – Very satisfying result. We never really got into top gear but the team is shaping up very nicely. Solid right the way through the team. Hopefully Pukki is the poacher we need up front, he will be delighted to get on the score sheet today. What a set up by Stokes for his goal.

    Sublime performance from Celtic despite an unexpected equaliser, this was 3-1 going on seven.

     

     

    Celtic looked a class apart from a young over enthusiastic Diet side, who fouled in the 50- 50 with impunity.

     

     

    Stokes added weight to his contract negotiations with another game winning performance abetted by every Celt that played, especially Samaras who was awesome. Van Dyck and Ambrose are forming our best pairing in central defence, and for Hearts when Pukki came

     

    on it was.

    Vergil looks to be a great signing.

     

    A ball playing centre half. There’s a novelty in Scotland.

     

    We just need to tighten up defending especially at second ball.

     

    We were kicked pushed battered and bruised today and the ref wouldn’t protect us.

     

    Loved the arrogance of Brown when he was clattered.

    Really enjoyed that. Aside from their equaliser – big Fraser totally wrong footed suggests a deflection – no failures with Stokes , Commons and Ambrose very impressive. Sammi should have had two but otherwise terrific. But the best is Virgil Van Dijk. It’s early days but he is the best footballing defender we have had since Pat Stanton ( at least). What is the catch with him?

    Thoroughly enjoyed that today – apart from slight wobble when they got lucky with their goal we were totally in charge. So much good from that performance and should see us go to Milan in a good frame of mind. There are the makings of a good team here. Away to Nashville this morning to show off the hoops in all their glory – Tennessee’s green and white!

    Im not gettin at stokes here btw but every time he gets the ball outside the box he more often than not takes the wrong option or tries somethin ridiuculous that doesnt come off (not a sign of an intelligent player) and this would drive me mad wer i playin alongside him.

     

     

     

    But…hes in good form at the minute
