  1. Billy Bhoy supports wee Oscar on

Well played the Hoops. Thoroughly enjoyed that even if it was men against boys.

    Now,bring on the Milanese.

  2. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

McLean not even very bright. When Hearts equalised he said

“and Hearts who were never out of this game are now right back in it”.

    Eh?

  3. Off oot, got to buy food & bevvy as we’ve got a few friends round tonight.

Should be plenty of footie talk – one is a Killie fan, one an Ayr fan and one supports a team that one the 3rd Division in their inaugural season. Should be fun.

  4. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

    Dangerous game today.

It’s one thing for a team to fight for survival, but it has to be within the rules.

Well played Celtic, for keeping their one eye on the ball and the other on the ankles.

    Stokes MOTM.

  5. Bhoylo83 , When you are in a hole, stop digging. Stokes was brilliant today, that is 4 League goals he has so far. My only worry is some Premiership Manager will tap him up and offer him money we can’t match. We are really lucky that Stokes is a real Celtic Supporter another player in his situation would just play out his contract.

  6. notthebus – thanks for the links. Stokes booking was a complete joke. His run for the 3rd started in his own half. Got a lucky break on the initial cross into the box, but was alert to stay on the ball and what a great chip over the 3 defenders to allow a simple debut goal for Pukki. Deserves the MOM from me, closely followed by Virgil, Efe, Lustig and Broonie

  7. SANDY EASDALE, co-owner of McGill’s Buses,

has been appointed to the board of The

    Rangers Football Club Limited.

He joins his brother James, who is also a

director of The Rangers International Football

Club plc, on the limited company board.

    They sneaked that in…

  8. Efe’s dummy to let the ball run past him when the Hearts player was CHARGING in was a sublime moment…..

  9. hearts and the rangers in the same league next year….now that will be a battle to the death who will die first if they survive till then even …I,m so glad my folks moved from ibrox to easterhouse all those years ago……suportyourlocalteamcsc

Well done the bhouys. Well done guys and thanks for all the great posts duringthe game. Appreciated by myself sitting by a pool in 90deg sunshine in a villa in Davenport, Florida…….cheers.

*was there for a week 3 year ago before driving over tae Fort Myers, cracking wee place and tons better than Kissimmee which frankly is a dump.

  15. Excellent all round performance, if Tony Stokes had another yard if pace he would be a superstar.

Borigter may drift out of the game but he can’t half cross a ball. VVD and Efe excellent.

Two final points; Collum awful for both teams and the young Hearts left back was outstanding.

    Roxane – The Police

  16. Brogan Rogan Trevino and Hogan supports Oscar Knox, MacKenzie Furniss and anyone else who fights Neuroblastoma on

    Good Afternoon.

That was an excellent game to watch and an excellent trip out before the San Siro.

    There was much to admire.

The keeping of the ball, the swift passing, and movement off the ball.

I thought Matthews and Lustig combined well in the first half before Adam went off.

Stokes and Commons were excellent throughout the period they were together and Stokes in particular was very up for it and showed a great deal of class in his movement, hunger and all round play.

However, what a difference at Centre Back.

Van Dyk won every ball, was strong in his physical presence and challenge and can use the ball when at his feet.

    This is a player!

Ambrose at his side looked excellent. Composed, assured and read the game well with both centres covering for one another where necessary.

As they play more together and understand one another better this could be a really good partnership.

With regard to Derk Boerritger, the guy has pace, control and can cross a ball.

He will be far better suited to grounds where there is space to run — such as Europe— however what is of interest is that any sensible defence cannot afford to ignore his presence and ability to get the ball into the box.

Defenders will move towards him and so create space for those in the middle.

Samaras was influential when he came on winning the head flick on which lead to Stokes’ goal, and again using the ball breaking out of defence.

Teemu Pukki did not need to do much for his goal BUT the main job of the striker is to get into the position of maximum opportunity, and when Stokes broke forward he was there on the spot to head home.

He also showed in his joust with Danny Wilson that he is no soft touch and he has an arse on him that can be used to good effect to shove a few folk out of the way.

With Forrest, Biton, Rogic, Mulgrew, Pukki, Samaras, Kayal, Atajic etc all starting on the bench today, Celtic seem quite strong although they could be stronger.

What is most impressive today was the playing to their strengths and their abilities.

    Roll on next week!

  17. Corkcelt

We know ur a stokes fan.. fair enough..

Believe me nothin wud make me happier than if he proved me wrong for celtic and the rep of ireland

Iv met the guy a few times and find him a smashin bloke

Technically hes as good as anyone around im just hopin at this stage in his career he hasnt left it too late

  18. Luckily don’t have the coverage so miss out on any penalty debate.

Hammill moved his hand up to head height and stopped a goal bound header.

Efe had ta deflected ball hit his left knee/left hand when his hand was by his side.

Derek Rae and McAllister? in particular tried to claim both were the same.

Hertz still on minus points :0)

  19. richie #teamoscar

  21. There was a transfer window debate as to whether we are stronger or weaker than last year. Virgil v Kelvin STRONGER, Derk v Paddy STRONGER, Pukki v Hoops To early to say but first glimpse encouraging. Nir v Victor, No idea but if new lad is anywhere close I’ll be happier than Kojo.

  22. TBJ Praying for Oscar Knox on

Tony stokes will score more than hooper this season

Teemu pukki .. a goal every 17 mins for celtic :)

I hope Celtic sign another half dozen unintelligent players like Anthony Stokes. He’s a great player and probably the most skilful player at Parkhead.
