HELLO, OH

CELTIC target Oh Hyeon-gyu has already checked in at Lennoxtown to meet his prospective new team-mates.

The 21-year-old South Korean international striker has already agreed personal terms and the £2.5million move is poised to get the go-ahead, as CQN reported earlier in the week.

Oh’s K-League club Suwon Samsung Bluewings have accepted the Hoops offer and the switch will be ratified as soon as the relevant paperwork is completed and the player receives international clearance, according to the Daily Record.

EYES ON THE BALL…Oh Hyeon-gyu menaces a rival defender.

The lively frontman netted 14 goals in the league last season to attract the attention of the champions’ talent scouts.

With the transfer deadline due late on Tuesday night, it now appears only a matter of time before the forward pens a five-year contract with the Parkhead club.

Oh will be Ange Postecoglou’s fourth recruit in the January window as he follows Canada’s World Cup right-back Alistair Johnston – a direct replacement for Josip Juranovic who completed his switch to Union Berlin at the weekend – and J-League duo Yuki Kobayashi and Tomoki Iwata.

THREE CHEERS…new Bhoy Tomoki Iwata and James Forrest celebrate Aaron Mooy’s second goal against Morton – the final strike in the 5-0 Scottish Cup victory.

Twenty-two-year-old Kobayashi has already made two Hoops appearances in his favoured left-sided central defensive position after his move from Vissel Kobe and he was joined on the pitch on Saturday by midfield anchorman Iwata, 25, a second-half replacement for captain Callum McGregor in the 5-0 Scottish Cup win over Morton.

It appears Oh is likely to be the champions’ final signing in this window.

However, with Postecoglou around, we can only be sure when the window closes next week.
