    Hard watch. Mistake-ridden. Weakest defence since the days of McNally, Rogan & White. A midfield of traffic cones. Hibs full back has Kuhn in his pocket so far. Maeda and Idah the bright sparks, though neither could trap a bag of cement.

    HUGE 45 minutes for Brendan Rodgers coming up…Our manager MUST get more out of our players….some of our Bhoys need to have a look at themselves…much more application required from them….nothing looks to have changed over past few games…different faces…but that’s about it…

    It is almost as if we are playing a version of the game from a training scenario were the attackers are not allowed to shoot at goal or cross the ball. Last night Sevco got both goals from the keeper spilling shots – that ain’t happening for us – we don’t take any.

     

    We are much better than this – something far wrong between the ears.

    This is not a treble winning Celtic side. Taylor, CCV, Starfelt, Jota, Hatate are not here tonight. AJ has gone off injured.

    I thought the purpose of football is to score goals. Remember the Celtic of old – crosses into the box , pull backs for midfielders to have a strike from 10-20 yards. Mcgregor took a pass and with the goal at his mercy for a strike , he elected to pass wide to Maeda – you all know what happens next!

     

     

    We need to be more direct , decisive and purposeful – isn’t that much more fun to play in?

     

     

    Now that we are 1 up – Rodgers will ask for the same possession football until we lose a goal – then it’ll be panic stations.

     

     

    Hoping for more ambition in the second half.

    Hibs fb kuhn is playing against has put three good crosses into the box. Each time he ran past kuhn like he was standing still. Kuhn on the other hand hasn’t even tried to beat the fb.

    All that posession and it could easily have been 1-1 at ht if Yuan had kept his head . Hibs happy to let us have the ball around their area knowing their goal is safe . No noticeable difference in quality between the two sides .

    if Maeda was a sprinter he’d trip over the starting block. We badly miss CCV and Hatate – Maybe Abada (getting sharper with recent games) and Palma (owes us something) can lift this side.

    Kuhn has a look of Paddy Roberts about him. Until he gets the ball and turns into fecking Julia Roberts.

    Very frustrating- he had the time and space to drive on and commit defenders before releasing but opted for an early pass out wide.

    Tippy tappy between the C Hs 25 to 30 yd lines, out to a wing then back in tippy tappy again with the occasional hopeful ball in.

     

    Lose the ball and Hibs break, sphincter twitching stuff.

    The team look disjointed. With O’Riley not playing well we struggle as a team. Maybe the January interest turned his head.

    For a change we’ve had a few breakaway chances and butchered them all with a lack of simple quality passing.

     

    One thing I am certain of and that it no manager of Celtic or any other team tells the team to play slowly, pass back and sideways all the time. They also don’t play two wingers and tell them not to cross, not to shoot and not to try and beat full backs – so why does it happen?? Lack of ability, lack of confidence and no fear of being dropped cause there is nothing and nobody to replace you…..
