We tend to step up a gear in the second as our opponents tire…here’s hoping.

The usual garbage in Inverness, rutted, uneven pitch, kicking scrapping SPL dross, with a
silly demoted referee with no gumption, let alone authority.

Worst half I have watched this season.Pitch is a disgrace.Should have been well watered beforehand.Celtic so sloppy with their passing.
Another thing,how hard is it to get ballboys.Players having to run 10-15 yards to retrieve the ball.Slowing the game,which is already dire,up no end.
Ronnie has to get them sorted .Look half hearted.Not like us.
Don’t ICT realise that Culloden is a couple of miles to the East?
Enjoying the game for a “right good battle” point of view.
Lots of misplaced passes and control from both sides suggest difficult playing conditions.
Ref too card happy from the booking of ICT centre forward onwards. Thereafter every foul is deemed a yellow. Or no foul given in case he has to give a yellow.
I’ll be interested to see what minor tinkering Deila comes up with for the second half. Not much required just a couple of wee adjustments.

Hopefully their exertions at trying to kick us off the park will tire them out 2nd half.
We have been pretty flat but maybe a windy stadium and bumpy pitch are not helping either.

Scrappy periods of play interrupted by ICT’s agricultural challenges. At least they have 4 yellow cards to consider for the second half.
I think the breezy conditions on an uneven surface accounts for stray passes, but their tactic is definitely to defend deep, close down and kick lumps, so hopefully if we pick up the tempo and make the passes more crisp and accurate, we should wear them down and create the big chances..
If we get a second, that should be enough, and they will be pushed to keep 11 on the park if we press them and use our pace from the front 4.
Quite a frenzied game. ICT will be lucky to retain eleven players .
We are unlikely to tire so I would not panic if we are still tied after 80 minutes. We are likely to notch a couple in the final minutes of the game. Thomson is a very able ref so I am assuming some of his decisions today are to do with a certain bias . Even so ( and unfortunately), I have seen worse.

With so many of them on bookings, and with fouling being their default position, take them on and make them commit to a tackle, and we might make more space by getting rid of at least one of them.
Celtic to score 2 more, ICT to have at least one man red-carded. Ambrose is mince.

Dont understand the ref cheating.He is giving the fouls and booking them.What else do you want him to do?.
Use the bench, change it around a bit Ronny.
Looking on the bright side we cant play that bad in the second half. Got to toughen up but be careful with that ref, the red card is burning a hole in his pocket. Would take Virgil off if we get ahead. Mon the Hoops.

I’ll take what we get out of this game, with eleven men on the park and no injuries.
It is no place for footballers and, unfortunately, we have a few out there!!

My thoughts too, only problem is the potential injury if they go for it.
This is the wrong place to have a football pitch
And then they compound the mistake by building a stadium around it
A decent surface and bigger pitch at hampden next week means that ICT won’t find it so easy to employ the same spoiling tactics. Also our normal passing game should be more effective.

“Cheating ref “thing is an utter embarrassment..same chat every week regardless of who it is.
Celtic slack ball retention a much greater factor than anything the ref has done
Jo & Nir can’t get control of the ball and are being sniped at. GMS and SA not really on top form to compensate for Jo & Nir.
Some nice interplay from time to time but ITC closing down quickly while maintaining an overwhelmingly defensive structure so movement to find space is often resulting in dead ends.
Strange that it was a long driven pass that set up our goal…not indicative of what followed.
Celtic will continue to work hard to find a way…

Inverness will be happy with their first half performance. Obviously trying to not let us play and commiting niggly fouls.
Up to us to break them down. I’m sure we will.
