KYOGO FURUHASHI has been shining at Celtic ever since he thumped in a superb hat-trick on his Parkhead debut back on August 8 2021.
The Japanese striker, bought for £4.6million from J-League outfit Vissel Kobe just over a week beforehand, treated the Hoops fans with a display of what was to come as he shredded the unfortunate Dundee defence on his new team’s way to a 6-0 victory.
It got even better when Celtic lifted their tenth Premiership title in 11 years when they brought the curtain down on a breathtaking campaign with another six-goal triumph.
FESTIVE FROLICS…Kyogo Furuhashi works his magic while Brendan Rodgers (below) thinks his striker is smiles better in Celtic’s Christmas Film 2023. Images courtesy Celtic TV.
Kyogo had to make do with a double on the May 14 afternoon in the east end of Glasgow the following year as Motherwell were on the receiving end of his rapier thrusts.
The club’s talisman has continued to spread the magic and has now fired his goal tally to a praiseworthy 62 – and we all know there are more strikes to come from the international ace.
Kyogo took centre stage again at the launch of Celtic’s Christmas film for 2023!
It’s the prolific hitman who is the star of the show in Paradise. In a special message, it’s a film everyone at the champions “hopes will bring a smile to faces of Celtic fans everywhere as the club and Celtic FC Foundation come together again to ‘Light Up Someone’s Christmas’.”
Like Kyogo, we believe the Festive treat hits the target.
Have a look for yourself!
