Glad that’s over , too many of our players looked that they did’t want to get involved today SS and OE to name but a few , we are not happy playing on that surface when the opposition are solely a bunch battering rams and long throw experts , not a good advert for a football match.

I think Livingston will take points off every visitor to Almondvale.
They play to their strengths on a surface they know well.
The kind of game where Broonie might have made a difference but happy with a point.
Officiating approach also favoured Livingston (says I in an understatement.)
Whatever affected us- pitch, opposition players’ robustness and effort, personnel changes, or Leipzig hangover, we did not play with any fluency or control.
We will take the point away to a team that is good at defence.
I did not expect to be top of the league by this International break (I thought it would be done by Christmas though) so …..
we take our point
we take up position at the top of the league
we take our chances that our players get through the International Break
and we get back to business on another horrible plastic pitch on the 24th at Hamilton.
Hope everyone that I met at the hoot yesterday are recovered and in good health.

That was a hard watch. Horrible game on a horrible pitch. Nullified by a team of journeymen cluggers and our own shortcomings. Morgan on for Forrest instead of Sinclair ? We played into their hands by taking too many touches , allowing them to get a foot or a block in. Eduoard hardly featured ,not helped by poor control on that pitch.
It will not affect our march to title no. 8 , but thank god that 95 minutes is out of the way.
Hope big Kris is ok…..looked like it could have been a broken cheekbone.

Did our bench fail to spot that Calum’s corners were a waste of time?
I thought when Morgan came on they would have given him some to take.
It’s not easy when refs tolerate players hacking and pulling from behind but surely we should have had the players face forward to make it more difficult for our opponents to do so?
McGregor seemed afraid to play those great diagonal passes on that absurd surface.
I don’t know why coaches fail to spot high balls are easy for that Livi defense.
Hard inswinging lower crosses would have caused their defense more problems.
It was a day for tactical adjustment after first twenty minutes but unfortunately we didn’t do so.

our normal passing game just doesn’t work on that horrible surface , the ball does not run true and sticks under your feet when running with it, we had player’s hiding today not wanting to get involved incase they got clobbered from the sevco c/b to be halkett and his sidekicks , you would think with all our quality we could have an alternative game plan when playing on these horrible surfaces , but hey-ho top of the league again
Not read back but my impression is as follows – — The pitch is a disgrace, you could see just how tentative our players were for fear of injury. It is a scandal that the SFA allow some teams to have these bloody pitches, and others , grass. It mUST give a competitive advantage to the home side, as sure as there’s shit in a nanny goat. Does anyone know of another European league such as this??
Then the officiating, an absolute joke, again only in Scotland.
Then that clown Dolly, had two red card offences, missed by the officials. .
I do not give an ounce of blame to the players, who really never had a chance.

Poor game but after the last few weeks l don’t want to be too critical one false move on that ‘pitch and it a season/career ending injury; Brendan is correct there is no place for them in top tier football, get rid.
Now on to the yawn fest that is international football.
One Striker for a club the size of Celtic not good enough, need to bring in another one in January, also Sinclair should have been replaced, with Morgan ,and kept Jamesy on,but top off the league, after being told there was a split in the dressing room.
I’ve often wondered if a rule change to 0 points for a 0-0 and a point each only for a score draw would stop teams playing like that. Livingston clearly delighted with a point. Football without the goals is nothing.
Oh and Walker, deary me, praised every touch Livi player made. Sad.

I know he was man marked and wasn’t criticizing him but when he had the opportunity to play his usual killer ball he seemed to be hesitant.
He was playing on that surface and i trust his judgement not to.
Every attempt at a through ball by us today went straight to keeper.
Well earned point for Celts, against the new SPL hammer throwers.
Jacobs ,Halkett, Lawson and Co, will render Livingston to new pararell’s of mediocrity as they kick and trap the ankles of all the SPL. First seen, lately when they sandbagged Partick Thistle in the ‘play offs’ Livingston are firmly on the road to football nowhere, with Seethen Gerrard’s scalp in the bag.
Booted upside down in the first ten minutes, Brendan’s side took the rest of the game to get to grips with the SFA’s Token Tim and erstwhile weakest link Kevin Clancy who witnessed yellow upon red, till half time but couldn’t locate a card, any card.
The second half procession on plastic petered out, after a brilliant week for Celtic another point safely negotiated, and with Eddy’s ankles intact, we’ll enjoy the break with another clean sheet, and resurfacing on top.
James Forrest suffered the same bone breaking attempts but was rescued by Lewis Morgan and Kris Ajer’s plastic experience stood him in good stead till he was withdrawn, for another battle in plastic Hamilton. Keiran Tierney was just awesome, and Dedryk Boyata firmly manacled Menga somehow still on the park despite a blatant headbutt on the attentive Ryan Christie.
Tom Rogic and Celtic twinkled till time up, but couldn’t find another moment of magic the Livi keeper touched the best effort just over the bar, to keep a point for the desperately cheesy Tony Macaroni outfit.
I knew you weren’t, Livi looked comfortable with the surface, as they should.
Maybe some of the ‘New Sky Money’ will pay for new hybrid pitches like ours.
On our new pitch, can’t believe we’re allowing the egg chasers to play a game on it.

Positive. We are top of the league.
Negatives. Plastic pitches, Scottish refs who interpret the laws differently from the rest of the world.
Fans who don’t appear to appreciate how difficult it is to play to a high standard without proper recovery time and how young and experienced some of our players are.
Let’s not be glib, whether we like it or not, there was a following out between Brendan and some players and it was nothing to do with Moussa.
There was possibly a falling out too, between Brendan and Peter too but I’m not certain about that.
However everything appears to have been smoothed over and onwards and upwards we go.
Hopefully Broonie, Oli and Griff return to bolster us after the international break.

FAN-A-TIC on 11TH NOVEMBER 2018 2:10 PM,
Calum was Man Marked today, their no.33 followed him everywhere, totally ignoring everything else happening on the pitch – expect more of the same.
Livi have now conceded just 4 goals in last 12 League games. That is a truly remarkable statistic.
We created quite a few chances should have done better with a few plus their Keeper made some great saves.
Always felt it was going to be a struggle to score there, winced when I read one poster here predicting 6 nil to the Celts pre match.
Anyhow I just hope we don’t have to play on that pitch again this season.
