Lucky numbers

201

What are today’s lucky numbers?  12, the points gap between Celtic and the pack and 29, Celtic’s superior goal advantage over second place.  5, the number of consecutive Celtic goals against Newco Kyogo scored, before Jota interrupted his run.  Is this a record for Celtic players against the Rangerses?

7, the number of league games remaining, 21, the points to be fought for and 10, the points required to guarantee the title.  6 of those 10 are up for grabs in our next two fixtures, against Kilmarnock and Motherwell, teams in the bottom half of the table, although Motherwell have found form.

Final thought on Saturday’s game, will Newco ever understand the value of marking Kyogo?

  1. What really happened at the weekend?

According to all the media Sevco gave us a right good doing.

Ah well it’s only Sevcos to lose or throwaway.

    re Tavernier handball claim

Even the Sky studio pundits scoffed at the suggestion.

From the replay, I can only comment that if he used his hand he was risking arrest

Scullybhoy – ongoing respect for the images you post routinely.

    Brilliant stuff.

  6. Little doubt, sevco perform immeasurably better between games.

Every headline, every promise, every soundbite.

They are simply superb when not actually playing football.

Unfortunately for them, they are required to do their talking on the pitch occasionally.

PS – the timing of the latest Daily R@nger articles about the Boys Club tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about that despicable rag and it’s target demographic.

Circulation dropped 93% in 25 years and still plummeting.

Anyone who buys it or supports it with clicks and claims to be a Celtic supporter?

    🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

3 sentences from Uncle Jimmy sum that club up perfectly.

Well it certainly won’t be lucky if it’s deemed to be too big a gap to partner club to the extent that it could dilute old firmery and will have to be addressed. No prizes for guessing what comes next……

  11. We’re clearly the better side and in a good place. The huns face a big rebuild on a limited budget.

If, however, Beale can keep their form going against the other sides in the league then there will be a title race next season.

For now, the treble has to be our only concern. Next season can wait for a few more weeks.

  12. lucky numbers – we are on 88 points,

something magical about that number right there

  13. Thurs never that long between hun meltdowns…………………………As we’ve seen, its just a matter o’ time…………………

    They can’t help thumsels.

    HHH.

  14. Is 9 points not enough?

Win next 3 and if we lost last 4 it would come to head to head which no matter the last game against huns we would win as we have beat them twice in league and drew once.

Any way just keep winning Celtic.

  15. Why no follow-up to the Park story or a question to the huns aboot thur dwindling budget?

  16. You were doing well there Paul until you got to the last sentence.

Are you trying to give them tips? Anyway, with centre backs of the quality available to Deico I don’t think the answer to your rhetorical question will be of much help to them.

  17. Hurtin Huns, bleetin an greetin all through the game and every minute since. Wah, wah, wah. For a club that tries to portray an image of being tough guys. . . A right bunch o wains.

  19. What a lovely weekend.

Anybody think we can make Callum, Tomoki and Reo work for the semi ?

Saying that, Matt had a cracking game regardless and Aaron needs minutes under his belt in the next few weeks and remains a baldy rolls royce. Haksa is pushing Maeda for the left wing berth and Abada will be up to speed too by then.

To think we have made no mention of our tough luck in missing Reo and hunskelper Liel on Saturday.

    The real Rainjurz can’t come.

Just the four times now this season, three unreal Celtic wins and a draw, Scotland expects. Free kicks and dead Rainjurz balls, can’t cut it, congrats to Ange ball instead, with Carl Starfelt and CCV on fifty straight domestic games without defeat.

Parkhead glistening in the sun, we began knocking the ball about but not to each other, never in top gear Ange and his charges did the business, exposing Rainjurz ropey crying defenders. Callum McGregor won the midfield and Matt O’Riley played his best game this season, Alistair Johnston again proved more reliable than Josip Juranovic over the piece, he’s been a sensation since his World Cup signing.

There’s a pattern here, and the longer it goes on the more chance there is Celtic will not only win the eleventh from twelve titles, but secure Sevco’s season trinket at Hampden. Proponents of the old Rainjurz succulent lamb can’t understand this failure to turn up, to the rest of us , it’s as plain as the nose on your face, domination.

Celtic not blasé, but philosophical, at 3-1 there was for a moment, another Sevco humping in the air, maybe next time for ‘lucky’ Ange and his perpetually better players.

    MOM Alistair Johnston
