  1. Welsh again wins ball in air. Then intercepts dangerous through ball.

RC penalised. FK Huns in front of goal

  2. honestly , lat time I’m saying it – Edward is so easily bullied ! and CHRISTIE is a selfish pr** – perfect 1-2 with Kyogo was on – he needs to stop playing for himself!

  3. Dexter P. Bampot on

Decent team performance but let down by the odd no show.

    Hart. Nothing much to do

Starfelt. Solid. Looks lot more confident.

Welsh. Also solid. Couple crucial interventions.

Ralston. Steady. Not much help on his wing from Abada.

Juranovic. Very promising. Right back looking composed at left back. Has rarely lost ball.

    Calmac. Our MOTM. Very good.

    Turnbull. Too quiet.

Christie. Poor. Giving ball away. Poor decision making.

    Abada. Not in game.

Kyogo. Looks class but has had few options.

Eddy. One sitter missed and 1 on 1 at end of. Not the Eddy of old.

  4. We’re miles better than last year. Well done celtic. The game is there for the taking. They are not good; they’re playing a weird mix of high press then getting every back to the 18 yard box. They are creating very little themselves. Concentration, subs and not giving the ref a chance to hun it up should do it. COYBIG

  5. Abada anonymous and Edouard useless is leaving Kyogo as only attacking threat.

Kyogo in middle and we’d be 2-0 up.

  6. We’re defending well. Starfelt and Welsh dealing comfortably with Roofe and Morelos.

So far so good but we need more from Abada. Not having Forrest available from the bench is a big miss. Everything we do is coming down Kyoto’s side.

  7. A composed performance. Night and day to last year.

Sevco have little creativity. Waiting to break from one of our errors.

CalMac excellent so far. Full backs solid, as are the CBs.

Eddie, Turnbull, Christie and Abada not offering much. We desperately need a left winger, so Kyogo can play centrally.

Will be interesting to see what Ange does at half time.

  8. Dominating this game. Need a goal to put them under pressure and let the rabids get to them. Kyogo is terrifying them. Defence holding firm. What a difference having a real goalkeeper. Mon the hoops.

  9. Decent first half performance, all the football played by one team but..zero challenges to 3rd choice keeper is disappointing,

Christie and Turnbull not doing it.Christie so one footed playing him on the right just seems daft.

Abada and Kyogo falling instructions to hig the touchlines, but consequently have had little involvement.

A reshuffle in the middle for me, Christie to the left, being Kyogo in

  10. RC back to last season’s form. CalMac needs more from him and DT. Think JF has left his oft mentioned (not by me, mind) cloak of invisibity for Abada.

    New Croatian looks solid

  11. I’m no happy – and neither is Ange by the looks.

Unless the strategy is to start slow and rope-a-dope ’em, some dick dastardly swapped Angeball for Lennyball.

IMO, we look nervous and ponderous. Why we continue to marginalise our fastest trickiest fwd by pushing him wide left to accommodate mr lackadaisical beats me.

Surely must do better – they are pesh and for the taking.

  12. Edouard is a lazy lazy man halfhearted efforts get him out of the central position.and set Kyogo free….he is ineffective on the left …DT is his usual in Rangers games …Antony and Calum showing up very well…

  13. Turnbull needs to be careful- booked for something that I don’t think was a free kick but there we go. Keep the head screwed on David – they’ll be screaming blue murder should you make a challenge.

  14. CALMAC,Ralston, excellent.Eddy,Mogadore head on,get him aff.RC,the game you need him, poor.Kyogo, wasted out wide.Turnbull, not doing enough.Starfelt, very good.Abada, not doing enough..Big talk and decisions for Ange at half time.Kyogo has to go through the middle. This mob there for the taking.

    Eddys miss,don’t get me started.

  15. Paul The Spark on

I’ve got confidence in Ange. He has seen his first half of a game against them. I’m sure he will adjust the set up to go for the throat

  16. Well played Celtic – it wullnae be easy going to the hate factory.

Anyone can see that see that Celtic are a much better team than newco. It’s the crowd and our New Bhoys have done very very well.

We dinnae even need to win this game, it’s a long Season and we will romp it, IMO, after that first half performance.

Excellent stuff by the back 5 2

  17. Some great pics online of Ronnie Deila in the Celtic Supporters Club in NYC watching the game wearing his #40 Celtic jersey, God bless him

Solid first half. Two-thirds possession. Clear the huns tactics are to wait for us to cough up possession and then take us on the break. Which we have offered up on at least half a dozen occasions. Christie in particular has been abysmal on that score. Welsh and Starfelt have both played very well, but each has already got off with a very dangerous surrendering of the ball under no pressure.

CalMac has been imperious, Ralston again fantastic so far, particularly in one on ones and rattled Kent. You love to see it after the ponces we had playing last season.

Eddy has been very poor. Sluggish, missed a sitter and generally ineffective. Slowing our whole game down.

Kyogo purring away, ready to strike. Juranovic has been very good on the wrong side, one surrendering of possession apart, looking for more from Turnbull.

Ref did his bit with his non-booking for Turnbull, which even Derek Ferguson bemoaning, although he did let CalMac off with one. He awarded them a gaol kick when it was a corner and let Morelos away with backing in. Otherwise he’s actually been okay.

Eddy and Christie the weak links in the first half. Hopefully they’ll make it up in the 2nd.
