30% interest! Nice one, Newco Rangers, you’ve got yourself a deal there. Suggestions that your business plan has been, and remains, unsustainable and extravagant are patently absurd when you can borrow at the kind of rates a Zimbabwean pimp would get at the height of the ZWD’s recent hyper-inflation episode, although it’s probably worth noting that Zimbabwean businesses are currently borrowing at slightly less than half of what Laxey are charging Newco, solvent ones, anyway.
An administration would be a severe embarrassment to the Newco, less than two years after its incorporation, but in many ways it would be a boon, allowing the club to offload all the high earners and establish a breakeven trading platform.
It is utterly incomprehensible why they have not called in the admins, which itself shines a light on management processes inside the club. No one seems to be asking, “What next?” Getting deeper into hock with a hedge fund is ruinous. Notions that if the loan is turned into shares would be a soft landing for the club are absurd. This is a hedge fund. A HEDGE FUND!! The more shares they have, the more exposure they have, the higher return they will demand.
Need some new players, tough, pay my money. Ticket sales down, that’s disappointing, cut back and pay my money. Got some maintenance work to do, I don’t care, pay my money then see what’s left.
Keep your eye on the sale and leaseback plan, although not until September. They should commission a brass statue of a Newco season ticket holder, touching his toes, with the motto ‘Brace yourself’ below.
The only question left is who will be the complicit front man for season ticket sales this year?
Most people are only beginning to realise the consequences of the events of 2012, or what it means to be a zombie club, walking around, not quite the same as before, with various groups randomly gorging on you. Nothing will ever be as it was. Ever. They should’ve listened, before high-fiving Sir David Murray, then Craig Whyte, then Charles Green. It’s not like we didn’t tell them.
If you’re in the football business, rule number 1 is: Pay your bills. Every other rule, value and aspiration cannot be met without this rule.
Many thanks to everyone who submitted questions for last week’s Celtic Forum. The minutes have been published, and are available here.

My God…… That is ridiculous….!!!!
Repost from previous thread.
St Thomas RC church in Riddrie was broken into over the weekend. They broke in through a window at the back of the chapel, smashed the glass doors, kicked in the doors of te confessionals and tried to start a fire.

Not listened to this in over a year. Jaw droppingly funny tonight. Guidi now predicting that the clean sheet record will go tomorrow night and that Biton is a dud. You can almost smell the fear and desparation.
PS. I don’t care who you are, you don’t want to be owing the Blues Brothers money. That is not a good place.

It was revealed today at the Upper Tier Tax Tribunal that Alex McLeish had a property bought for him through an EBT.
>>>>>>>>
We need to know why that wasn’t revealed at the first tribunal….?? …. It’s all coming out now that we have a real judge ‘on the case’ ……looks like HMRC are ‘on the ball / button’

The Rangers oldco is currently in liquidation, having failed to secure a company voluntary arrangement with its creditors in June 2012.
The company’s assets were subsequently sold to a new company, allowing the club to continue as a functioning member of the Scottish Football Association

Chris Torey was the guy who linked to Bishop Williamson, the Holocaust denier. He was on again this morning claiming that an all inclusive Celtic site should be open to those views. He was far from apologetic about it.
In turn, you have signed off with Viva Chris Torey, indicating that you support his positions. In turn, Kojo kept your persona alive on here offering sustenance and agreement while the rest of the blog tried to ignore your filth.
That makes at least one of you, depending on whether these are different people and different IP addresses.
If you dispute the view that holocaust denial should be opposed, and given your support for far right movements like the EDL, I have my doubts, then it is easy to prove.
Tell Chris Torey that Bishop Williamson is a fud. Tell us that holocaust denial is a sure sign of stupidity and evil.
Should I wait with bated breath?
SSB has got to be the best comedy / bigoted show radio…..it really is hilarious…

I don’t go to church, personally I think it’s utter shite, but I was brought up bein dragged to St Thomas’ very Sunday. Plus I work in the funeral trade so I’m in quite a few chapels.
It’s a sad sad day that shit like this goes on in the 21st century while I’m not religious I think everyone should be free to follow their faith peacefully, except Jehovah’s, they knock on your door and expect money, plus their belief about blood transfusions annoys me.
tony d,and others,
I served my time as an engineer in William Beardmores (Parkhead Forge).
the puggie you refer to crossing over Duke St.was an internal engine used to transport steel ingots from the Forge over to machine shops to produce things like Works Rolls used at Ravenscraig for strip steel for the car industry.
The line running behind the Celtic End crossed the Gallowgate at Camlachie Street, over Duke st.at Carntyne Dog track, from there it travelled up to pick up coal from Cardowan, Auchengeich, and Bedlay mines they provided coal for Dalmarnock Power Station.

Yup, I did say at the start that I thought it was a coal carrying line, but thanks for clearing that up.
They are going out of there way on SSB to slag off Nil Biton, it’s getting ridiculous now.
Charles Green can be to Rangers what Fergus McCann was to Celtic
Oct 26, 2012 00:01
OPINION BY MARKHATELEY
WHEN Charles Green first walked through the front doors of Ibrox the biggest fear among Rangers fans was that they were getting landed with another Craig Whyte.
Five months on, it’s beginning to look as if what they’ve actually got is their very own Fergus McCann.

The beneficiaries of EBTs, including high-profile players and management staff, were not named in the original tribunal hearings.
However, this will change for the majority as the appeal case is being held in public
—
So much at stake here for the reputations of the EBTers to be named in a public court as beneficiaries.
My hunch is HMRC are on a winner this time
The initial frenzy and its side shows have more or less gone so its a clear way ahead for HMRC
Maybe some points of law were lost in the hun haze
Writing off evidence being one of them
Kilbowie Kelt still on the hunt for the McGill documentary, will hear soon.
