Agreed mate – its a consolation. Sounded like he threw the team together yesterday taking into account who was fit after travelling back from Turin. Taking all things into account I’m not too downhearted, really hope we take all our frustrations out on Aberdeen next week.

RC 2 points behind murderwell……that puts this in a ‘better place’ for me……..

  4. Only heard game on radio and it would appear that we thought the game was over at 2 nil.

As always , gutted at any hoops reversal but proud of the accomplishments in Europe this season.

Ross County seemed to be hungrier for victory today and on that basis I congratulate them on their result.

    Hail Hail

  5. A bad result today but it’s all a learning curve.

I know most on here don’t listen to snyde, if you need cheered up listen to the huns they’re suicidal.lol

Got to look on the bright side of today’s result. Gives the CQN regulars an excuse to never go back.

In hindsight, playing 3 at the back against a team who haven’t lost in 9 games was ————————————-

You don’t need hindsight to know 3 at the back wouldn’t work, it never works ever manager finds that out yet Lenny keeps on trying it (and of course realising during the game his mistake and changing it).

Bet you he plays 3 at the back again this season and again changes it during the game.

  8. Our defence lie deep because they lack mobility.

Our last 2 clean sheets were against Dundee and Raith Rovers.

Criticism of the defence is justified.

Can’t be often we’ve lost a game after being 2 goals up in the SPL, stattos let us know??

Still amazes me how many people can watch a game that isnt televised.

Need to overcome that in future to protect the game.

  15. We will win the league, we were always going to win the league, we are just not going to do it in style. 6 defeats in 30 (20% loss rate) is poor no matter what we are doing in Europe. Too many players think they are better than they are and certain players (Wanyama being the prime example) mask the deficiencies of others.

    Till tomorrow Bhoys & Ghirls.

    Basic errors ruthlessly punished AGAIN,

Self inflicted mistakes that can and will be addressed,

Neil can afford to give some players extra time to prove to him they are men and can be trusted.

He is giving some more time than I would but he knows the drill better than me.

When this season draws to a close any player who has not proved themselves will not be there.

Neil now knows who has let him down and will act accordingly in his own time.

6 or 7 of our first picks did not play today through injury.

All our problems are fixable from within.

15 pts clear eases the pain of today, ps a wee £5 on charlie mulgrew to score anytime ensures I will be at the dons game next week.

PPS of couse I am gutted especially for those fans that travelled to watch them blowing a 2 goal lead but in the big scheme of things I have had worse days,

I and my club are in good health, what more can you ask for even allowing for defeat.

If you dont agree that is fine, but always remember things could be worse, YOU COULD BE A HUN :))always works for me.

    Till tomorrow HAIL HAIL

Boy are they hurting tonight our defeat pales into insignificance

Carry on up the Ally indeed lets hope we get sequels 2, 3 and 4

  23. In fairness to NL he surely played a back three because both RB’s were injured, and I was surprised when we took a two goal lead. When we did despite what NL says RC never looked back, and it was only a matter of time till they scored, when they pinged long balls onto the exposed Wilson Ambrose or Rogne – take your pick.

After any defeat, I normally wait until the following morning to make a comment

Today I’m going to make an exception:

The hurting huns on here are giving me a right good laugh. It must be painful as hell to watch a tribute team getting shafted at home in the 4th division of Scottish football.

Surely you guys have better things to be getting on with on your own blogs…other than giving us all a hoot?!

Too many bhuns on CQN, as is normally the case when we lose a game….off oot, as one of them usually says……

  27. Anybody who has played organised football on grass at any level knows that performance improves in relation to the condition of the surface. A first touch that on a good surface kills the ball and gives the receiver time on it, becomes two or three touches. The technical edge, which after all is what distinguishes good players from average journeymen, is lost.

RC knew this and played on it. They also mastered the conditions better when they cleared from defence. The ball was blootered long enough and high enough to a) relieve pressure b) give their forwards a chance to put pressure on our defence, who inevitably were back pedalling as Celic played their natural forcing forward game.

Thus we had a fairly even contest between two sides in spite of the wage difference. I’m not sure why RC were so poor in the first 20 mins, they just kept giving the ball away close to their defence but Quinn breaking forward twice was a sign theyu were getting their act together.

The first goal was an example of what was to come. Two clearances from us failed to clear their last line of defense and the ball was returned quickly, broke kindly and was despatched efficiently. Had we simply been able to hump the ball up the park then they would not have scored. But humping the ball up the park is not what Celtic fans want or what players are coached to do. OK we might need to be more flexible and resort to route one but for that we need a target man and do not have one, so options are not many.

Surface and weather conditions played a major part in the upset but ten out of ten to RC for making the most of them.

If you have not played football on cinders, red blaze, potholed poorly drained grass pitches and then a bowling green surface then that might explain the readiness to dismiss a poor surface as a contributory factor. It was, but we failed to overcome the conditions. RC found it easier.

Having said that the Vigurs (sp?) lad looked a player at ease on the surface. We had no one as comfortable.

  28. Kojo

Good job Man Utd did not take that view with Alex Ferguson.

To have a succeful team you need stability over and between seasons, especially when players are so “portable”.

Celtic need a manager who “gets” Celtic and we have that in NL and the longer he says the more he “gets” us.

In getting us he will know for himself when the time is right for Celtic (not for himself) to move on. In getting Celtic he will put them before himself.

what you say may be true of other clubs and other managers but (to quote Jose Mourinho) “Celtic are Celtic”
