Show no compromise

210

If Celtic sacked our manager and appointed an ex-Shetland Islands select coach a week before a Champions League qualifier, I would be very concerned.

If we take care of Rosenborg tonight, their preparations will be looked at, but there is another narrative. Fail to deliver tonight, and you will hear about Rosenborg players rallying together in the face of adversity.

I expect Celtic to win well, but that will depend on the players showing no compromise.

  1. It’s also the reason KT is the most targeted player in the first team squad. Have you ever seen a footballer take as many tackles in a game as he does?

Teams do it because they know if they put him out of the match we have exactly zero cover for him. It’s wide open. It’s obvious to everyone, and nothing’s been done to fix it.

Look, I think we can all agree that everything is rubbish…

Well not all of us…maybe some of us…right, a few of us.

And not everything but most things…ok, some things.

So a few of us may, or may not, agree that some things might, or might not, be rubbish.

Mon the hoops. 3-0 to Celtic. First scorer: that guy we should have signed in January, or June…but not that guy you’re thinking of – he’s rubbish.

Hello can I propose a new blog rule/tradition that whoever gets the podium goes back to the last blog and informs posters that a new blog has started :) Thoughts ??? 4. Looked a good prospect at the WC but a totally pointless loan signing for someone who plays same position as Mikey Johnston. Would it not be a better idea to develop and give game time to one of our own players rather than one of the financially doped clubs who are ruining European football?

Manchester City are close to finalising a deal for Melbourne City’s Australian prospect Daniel Arzani and will send him out on loan to Scottish champions Celtic.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to move to England for around £280,000 and will then spend the season at Celtic after they headed off competition from PSV Eindhoven.

Arzani made three cameo appearances for Australia at the World Cup and has attracted interest from Roma also but will link up with compatriot Tom Rogic at Celtic, with whom City enjoy a good relationship. The deal will be similar to the one that saw Aaron Mooy move to City then join Huddersfield Town.

  7. The Citeh conveyor belt strikes again, the more the merrier. Do we get fined if we don’t play him?

We’ve sold one and we’ve bought one. We signed another loaned player and a player who didn’t want to stay has went back to his parent club. We’ve brought three loanees back (two will probably be sold).

Everyone wanted a new CH in January, we got two. As it turns out one has been a waste of time, the other has been written off (fortunately not by the manager) by a large section of the support. How many CHs do we need, we are currently at 6 (+2 who can also play there). We need to move a couple on, then bring one in (hopefully an upgrade on those leaving who hits the ground running)

Disappointed last week. Tims arrivingnin Taxis and bar staff didnt know we were playing! Celtic pics all over the gaff

That is depressing if true about Daniel Arzani. He is only costing city £280,000 so it is not as if we are getting a blue chip youngster on loan. Another cheap option.

We have scoffed at some of Sevco’s signings recently (especially the loan signings), as they clearly will not be sufficient to close the gap to us. However, if this rumour about Daniel Arzani is true, then it’s akin to a Sevco signing. It would be hard to determine which club is cash rich and the other teetering on administration given this proposed signing.

  12. The hand can’t hit

My Celtic is looking for it’s 3rd consecutive treble and 3rd consecutive CL qualification and I am really excited to be going along to support them tonight.

Celtic seems to give you so so much angst and pain. It seems so sad that you spend days on end trying to share how bad things are for you with everyone.

Pity as these are truly great times for Celtic.

    @ BURNLEY78 on 25TH JULY 2018 2:24 PM

I’m simply against us resting on our laurels. This is a relentless sport and if you are not improving each season then invariably you move backwards.

We are richer then ever before, have the best manager we have had since MoN and yet we have not supported him as well as many supporters (and even he- see below) would like. If we were cash strapped I would be understanding, but we aren’t.

My main concern is that we blow a golden opportunity.

“We know we need to strengthen.

“We lost Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts who were really influential players for us in all the years I have been here. We need to at least replace that and if we can also add to the squad.” Rodgers, 29/06/18

He has made the request, let’s see if he is backed.

  16. Burnley 78

So true. Were these same posters complaining about bad things were over those two successful seasons as well or is it only now we have become a dreadful club?

Right. Have to watch a wee bit of The Tour and them heading off to the Dear Green Place to watch my team, win ,lose or draw.

    Cheerio for now.

Armani would be a great signing if it was a permanent deal. I said during WC that I hope Rogic was having a word in his ear about joining us. I just don’t see the point in a loan deal when we have our own young players in need of game time.

I get that Gary, my post wasn’t aimed at you mate you’re a welcome messenger, I would love for us to have signed him for us, that’s not the point of my post, he was dismissed out of hand only seconds after you posted the news and described as depressing.

So no matter what Celtic do there’s plenty that will just never be happy.

For the record I would love to see Mikey make the step up this season but if Brendan wants to bring him on at his pace whilst adding Arzani I’pm cool with that..
