Social cost of Scots exclusion

1522

You want to know the real social cost of Scottish football’s exclusion from the league structure England and Wales share?  It’s the lack of pitches, nets, strips, balls and coaching certifications that the £1bn bounty, promised by the Barclay’s Premier League last night to the grassroots game.

£1bn to the grassroots is a huge sum.  It dwarfs what taxpayers can afford and will provide a series of benefits our kids and amateur players are denied.

If we’re part of the UK, we should be part of the UK’s commercial opportunities.  Every youth team in the land are excluded because of the actions of a cartel.

What are the SFA doing about it?  Nothing.  Their plans don’t seem to require world-class youth facilities.

Braybhoy was the moniker used by the guy who posted that video.

    My grandad was from Bray.

My big sis has been trying to really delve into what family tree we have since our dad died but it is not something that i have been bothered about.

We do not have a close family and i only knew a few of my relatives, so the only ones i have ever really bothered about have been my immediate family.

She blames the way we are on gypsy blood in our genes and that’s why we can never settle.

I was toooooo young to know him before he left my gran and i only remember little things about her…..but THAT place has been a magnet to me for the last few years.

Dublin 2016 will be Bray for me as well…….ive got to go there next year.

  15. Dealney’s, You would enjoy the Abbey then. If you want tickets there let me know. As you know it is very linked to 1916.

QUESTIONS FOR THE SFA ON THE LICENCE THAT COST CELTIC TENS OF MILLIONS…

    (or Auldheid)

Clearly Celtic, and in particular Celtic shareholders, lost value through the actions of the SFA.

Would there be any merit in a wee shareholder suing the SFA in the small claims court for financial loss (small percentage of a big amount) using Auldheid’s questions in evidence?

    =========================

There is strong evidence that due process was not followed by RFC or SFA.

We are experiencing difficulty putting the questions to the SFA with the right weight behind it, but it will be put. The questions which a QC helped polish into legalese are ready to go in a letter, finding a solicitor in Glasgow/Scotland who is not already conflicted by representing ex Rangers men to post the bloody letter is proving problematical.

On the money side it would be hard to argue that if

    a) UEFA would have decided to replace Rangers (they might not have done although that sanction exists under the rules) that

    b) Celtic would have been any more successful than Rangers in reaching the Group stages.

However there was a payment around £300k just for playing in the qualifying round which would be the starting point.

If some of the abuse the guys pushing this took after the 2013 AGM could be factored in, the claim for stress could be considerably higher. :)

Once we get a response to that letter from the SFA the answer will decide what needs to be done.
