WATCH AGAIN: THREE CHEERS AT IBROX

A STOPPAGE-TIME strike prevented Brendan Rodgers and his Celtic players from celebrating their third successive derby triumph at Ibrox yesterday.

Following a 1-0 win at the same venue in September and a 2-1 victory at Parkhead just before the turn of the year, it looked as though the chanpions were on course for a glorious hat-trick.

A goal in only 21 seconds from Daizen Maeda and a cheeky penalty- kick from Matt O’Riley, celebrating his first strike in this fixture, had the visitors 2-0 ahead at the interval and looking a good bet for three points.

DERBY SMILES…rival bosses Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement after the 3-3 draw.

Unfortunately, the hosts were allowed back into the contest 10 minutes after the turnaround following a VAR-assisted penalty-kick and a deflection from comeback captain Callum McGregor, a second-half substitute for Reo Hatate, gifted the Glasgow foes an 86th-minute equaliser.

Adam Idah restored Celtic’s advantage within 71 seconds, but Rodgers’ men, looking for their twelfth title in 13 years, had to settle for a stalemate when the home team equalised two minutes into added-on time.

Thanks to those good folk at Celtic TV Unique Angle, we can enjoy those Hoops strikes again.
