We are almost week on from Morton (our only mustn’t lose game in March) but there will be a business-like atmosphere around Lennoxtown today as the team prepare to go to Ibrox, scene of three consecutive wins since Newco were promoted to top flight football. Brendan and his players are all too aware of the big talk coming from Murray Park. If ever they needed motivation, they didn’t need to look far.
Fans of either colour, who have been around long enough, will recognise the occasion, but this is not the way you and I used to feel about going to Ibrox. Back in the old days I preferred to go there as slight underdogs, which was often as good as it got for Celtic fans. Now, we travel to every ground in the country as strong favourites, no matter what our form. This is nothing like it was in the pre-liquidation years.
I want to win, of course, but I would have been devastated if we’d lost to Morton. Sunday’s game cannot reach me the same way. This is a step on the road to what will hopefully be a treble, don’t pretend it is about winning the league, it’s just not.

This is to support my daughter Laura, who in turn is supporting a Charity “Let Us Shine” a girls school in the middle of Ghana.
This school is sponsored by St Mary’s Bannockburn ( where Laura teaches) St Margaret’s Cowie & Our Lady’s Raploch ( giving the school it’s new name ) plus our local churches.
Laura will Fly to Ghana, travel 10hrs on a bus, then a further 2 hours to get to this school, and be only the 2nd fully qualified teacher to teach the girls, some of whom travel 4 hrs walk to get to the school for both education and a feed.
Laura ( & St Mary’s ) have arranged a race night on 23rd March at 7.30 – tickets £5, and would grateful if any CQN’rs could join CRC and I at this

Morning all. Slept like a bat last night. Up at 5.30am. So the day is here. Let’s deliver a sickening blow to the uppy Sevs and their cheerleaders.
They have got themselves all pumped up and salivating over their breathtaking six game win run.
A six game run that has seen them topple a Championship team, a League one (3rd tier) team, and the teams currently sitting 6th, 8th, 10th and 11th in the “top” league in the country.
They have raised their hopes just high enough, that they will smash into a thousand pieces, when we batter them.

I was talking to the brother-in-law of “our” mate Mick yesterday and was letting him know about you & Paddymacuz keeping him in your thoughts, he was humbled, his best mate is JR fae the SydneyCSC who is back “home” in a few weeks for a visit, Micks brother-in-law is not on Cqn but was at Cqn10, again the charity stuff on here is impressive and even if our “board” aren’t in the Brother Walfrid mode the fans certainly are, enjoy your day Melbourne Mick, you are my type of Celt :-)
