We are almost week on from Morton (our only mustn’t lose game in March) but there will be a business-like atmosphere around Lennoxtown today as the team prepare to go to Ibrox, scene of three consecutive wins since Newco were promoted to top flight football. Brendan and his players are all too aware of the big talk coming from Murray Park. If ever they needed motivation, they didn’t need to look far.
Fans of either colour, who have been around long enough, will recognise the occasion, but this is not the way you and I used to feel about going to Ibrox. Back in the old days I preferred to go there as slight underdogs, which was often as good as it got for Celtic fans. Now, we travel to every ground in the country as strong favourites, no matter what our form. This is nothing like it was in the pre-liquidation years.
I want to win, of course, but I would have been devastated if we’d lost to Morton. Sunday’s game cannot reach me the same way. This is a step on the road to what will hopefully be a treble, don’t pretend it is about winning the league, it’s just not.

I can sympathize on the insomnia thing. I sometimes would go two or three days without sleeping, so I know it can be a bugger. Sounds like you have been going through a lot recently, so hopefully your insomnia will only be a temporary thing.

Good morning from a rather dreich Dumbreck, back in the land of the living after 3 months in Brunei. It was pretty wet here when I arrived yesterday and was most of the day so I am wondering what sort of effect the weather will have had on the Mordor pitch. It may make the ball slicker to play or will the pitch cut up?

I’ll be going to 10:30 Mass at St Leo the Greats and will exit as Blackshirts are walking past it on their way to Ayebrokes.
Hoping for a good performance and a good win but will settle for any type of win.
In an aside, I was on 3 flights from Brunei and the last one from Dubai to Glasgow was full of fat bassas including myself. Just be grateful that it didn’t crash as the impact would have been akin to the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs ;-)

Not possible to get a good sleep before we play them is it?
6 hours to kick off and heart going like a train already, and thats the truth.
Usual routine for me if I’m not at the game. Game gets recorded, I do a Kev J – aff oot. Back at time up. Check result.
Hopefully I can then pour a large drink and watch it. If it goes wrong? Delete match from planner.
Hoping for a win today and a win by 2 goals to send them a timely reminder that their 10 in a row isn’t going away.
Mind you, I’ll take a 90th minute deflection off the referees head if necessary for a 1-0.
