NICOLAS KUHN is poised for a quickfire Celtic debut against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup at Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old winger is poised to finalise his £3million move to the champions from Rapid Vienna tomorrow.

Kuhn, who will be in London today to undergo a medical, is set to pen a deal that will keep him at Brendan Rodgers’ team until the summer of 2028.

The move for the wide player, who has also had experience at RB Leipzig, Ajax and Bayern Munich, will be sealed following final talks with his represenatitives and the Austrian outfit. If there are no unexpected late hitches, he will be paraded as the Hoops’ first signing of 2024.

ON THE RUN…Nicolas Kuhn is heading for Celtic.

Rodgers antipates putting Kuhn through his paces at Lennoxtown and he will be registered in time to make his first appearance in the national competition against the Highlanders, according to a Daily Record report.

Celtic’s recruitment drive will continue until the end of the month with a strriker as back-up to Kyogo Furuhashi seen as a priority.

Scotland’s title kings, bidding for their twelfth crown in 13 years, are also in the market to strengthen their left-back position where Greg Taylor has been an ever-present in this campaign.

Estoril’s Tiago Araujo is on the club’s radar, but the fee could be problematic with his previous club Benfica due a whopping 50 per cent in a sell-on clause in his contract.
