Aberdeen look to cap top team in 25 years

1164

Really looking forward to tomorrow.  Aberdeen are no flash-in-the-pan, they are as strong a non-Glasgow team as there has been in 25 years, having built on foundations laid last season.  They arrive at Celtic Park having won there last season, and after two narrow defeats to Celtic this season, which has cost them a place at the top of the league.

Ronny Deila will have an enormous job to pick his players up after the disappointment of Thursday night, but that’s what champions do.

I know we’ve got a few foodies here, so check out The Foodies Guide to Glasgow and the West, by Fraser Wilson.  Proceeds from the book go to Mary’s Meals, which goes a long way towards alleviating poverty.

If you are from or near Dundee…….

There’s a charity dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Brother Walfrid, in the East Chamber, Dundee, on Friday 17 April.   Proceeds from the night will go towards helping three-year-old Oliver Bosch, who was born without auditory nerves.

The evening will have an Irish theme, with an Irish menu, music and song and the Lochee School of Irish Dancing will give a display of traditional Irish dancing.  For tickets contact joe.carroll1948@yahoo.co.uk

  1. Ronny…you’ll join that gallant band but, I have doubts about you…still…coz, you displayed niavete in taking Celtic’s best player off the pitch – GMS – in the San Siro…that was a bad move mhan.

On the first day of March it was raining

It was raining worse than anything that I have ever seen

I drank ten pints of beer and I cursed all the people there

And I wish that all this raining would stop falling down on me

And it’s lend me ten pounds, I’ll buy you a drink

  4. Lubo was signed for us…after Fergus had ‘deliberately’ missed all the Euro signing deadlines…bringing in Vidar Riseth after he brought in Dr Jo as manager after a ‘3’ month search to replace Wim & Murdo…and…Fergus pulled the handbrake on Celtic’s progress to ensure his going away money remained intact and tae fluck wi the fans ambitions…and he also blew our first ‘ever’ attempt at the CL with all his biskit-tin-bonus-p#sh…crafty wee man that he was…consigning Celtic and, their fans to ‘2’ years in the wilderness with the Dr Jo appointment as manager and, flucking off with £40 million before O’Callaghan and co brought in the ‘dream team’ to ensure that we stayed in the wilderness till MO’N rescued us.

Lubo was a genius that is true, and I’ll be grateful for the memories…thanks.

  5. The Sunday Mail…like the rest of the Scottish media…know that they have ‘carte-blanche’ to do as they please with Celtic FC…who’s fault is that?

Re Lubo. Not many in big games. MoN rarely picked him.

Now go and run along with your old mainstream media shock jocks and ex Celt media tarts.

My team has a really big game to play today and many of us are looking forward to going to support them.

You on the other hand don’t and so might be better going to wash the car or something useful rather than spout your anti Celtic negative attention seeking rubbish on here.

Should have known it was too good to be true that a depressing little tit like you could stay away from your attention seeking platform that you found here among the good Celtic men and women of CQN…

Now that it a very good question, that I don’t have an answer for.

Obviously those whom are on the payroll of the SMSM, are dancing to their employer’s tune.

But ye cannot legislate for the likes of Stokesy, O’Neill or even Lenny himself.

    Puzzling it is.

Probably they once loved the encounters against the old club, we all did.

However, time moves on, our old rivals killed themselves, they are dead. It’s not our fault – that’s just the way it is.

I’m far more nervous now about the sheep fixture later on – no feeling over that charade at Hampden last month.

Such is life, as a great Oglach once said.
