  1. BIG-CUP-WINNERS on

You know tonight, I thought we deserved a lot more from that first period.

Last season Deila got lucky, when he turned to Commons and he obliged. This season that luck has turned, partly of Deila’s making, in so much he has spurned the player who had baled him out.

I’ve been of the opinion he has gone in some respects for quite some time.

    Let’s look at the list:

    Leaner and fitter – check

    Smaller squad – check

Alienate champions – sign losers (x3) – check

Fast, passing pressing game – check

Nurturing Celtic’s young players – check

Judge me on European results – check

Only clever people can see what he’s doing – check

There’s a real clamour now for a new manager. It’s needed, we need that magic potion of confidence that a new boss often brings. Right now a safe pair of hands with the players we have will deliver the title. Retaining Deila’s fractured reign, we are in danger of losing this title.

Football clubs always do it; just strange when we are top of the league. But me, you and the players know Deila hasn’t a clue.

  2. Awful 2nd half. Thought we dominated until they scored, but a dire 2nd half, lucky not to concede more, could have had a red card for Kazim, and sheep penalty. Allan must start in future. Again, not great use of subs. Forrest was very poor. Very few pass marks, huge questions about the manager. Defending at corners again in question, big time.

  3. What is the Stars on

    Burnley, get a grip

Walker in what he says is echoing what plenty of fans are thinking

How deila was ever let near celtic is beyond me.

However I would stick with him to the end of the season.

Wake up and smell the coffee

  4. Tom Boyd is better than SuperSutton on

GMS showed enthusiasm. Yes he did.

We showed fight. Yes we did.

Not that many care about these things, but we were the better side.

It’s not all doom and gloom. Winning the league often comes with losing games along the way.

  5. macjay1 for Neil Lennon on

    DAVIDOPOULOS on 3RD FEBRUARY 2016 9:52 PM

I like RD and think over the long run he would be a success for Celtic. However, opinion among the support has soured to the point that I can’t see any other outcome than Celtic having a different manager next season.

In my opinion that won’t solve all of the problems though.

    =====================================================================

    I think that`s probably right.

Ronny will be a success elsewhere having served his apprenticeship at the expense of Celtic.

And this has nothing to do with tonight`s disappointment.

  6. I was willing to give RD benefit of the doubt but after tonight that’s it. Take them two imposters that you call assistants with you and close the door on the way out. John Kennedy is not fit for his position, well known fact that Stevie Frail was the brains behind the youth set up. Delia never asks their opinion whilst standing like a clown on the touch line so that tells its own story. As much as I love this blog and despise the dead team, it’s somewhat an obsession on this blog about them, fk them., we have more pressing matters closer to home. Fed up with all this back clapping of DD, PL and the board, yes they are doing a good job but by fk it should be a lot better. I lived through the Huns cheating years and am grateful where we are now, but second best like tonight is not good enough for Celtic, awaiting RD’s latest excuse….

  7. A mate put it to me at half time that this was RD’s Neil Lennon moment against killie.

    We just got the answer………..

  8. ....PFayr supports WeeOscar on

    Tom Boyd

CFC showed fight and GMS enthusiasm

Based on what …what you hoped to see or what actually happened during the game

That was a gutless heartless performance …GMS …hopeless ..the epitome of what is wrong at CFC …

  9. 67 European Cup Winners on

Did Ronny do his roar ???

This I my thinking after 4 pints and a bottle of red

I would accept defeat against EK as long as we won the league

I do not care about S Cup ( I do by I am prioritising)

  10. Ask yourself what MON would have done tonight – he would have picked every monster he had and went toe to toe with them – he understood what was required – Benny from Crossroads doesn’t have a clue

  11. Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on

    please join me.

    SACK THE BOARD.

Ronnie is a patsy. a guy who was coming to coach is given the keys to the kingdom. not ready, unprepared.

Lawell up is the problem. Retire you greedy greedy man, paid more than the players and the manager. wrong wrong wrong.

Desmond , sell up and feck off, you imposter. Money is your god.Celtic are not your darling.

Only when the new standing section is belting out SACK THE BOARD will we have a voice.

    ———–

We will still win the league, but its an inglorious existence.

  12. Brutal. No fight, no cutting edge, no nothing.

I’ve defended Deila more than most but it’s now clear that this team of his cannot cope with adversity. He has to go.

    Scunnered.

  13. Another dire performance when it matters.

Aberdeen are not a very good team….but good enough to beat us.

How much more of this before something is done.

Apart from KT & Erik played well,…that was it.

    Gutless.

Craig Gordon needs dropped,…he spreads panic through the team, the defence cant rely on him.

Get a young confident keeper in.

There will be hell on wheels if we do not win the league.

We should be streets ahead of Aberdeen.

Ronny wont be going anywhere meanwhile, its PL that should be worried…..be of course, he will hide as per fecking usual.

If you cant play for the jersey, then GTF.

    HH

  14. Disappointed obviously but mostly after watching JF walking around without a care in the world.

    What has happened to him?

He needs taking to one side and sorted out, never thought I would see such lackluster attitude by him.

We huffed and puffed but in the end not enough class and too many passengers.

Shake up required Ronny, have the guts to do it please.

We are a good team on a good playing surface, pity not too many of them around.

  15. Delia on the tranny. It’s gonna be tough cos Aberdeen are getter better. What?

    Just go away Ronny.

  16. I haven’t been a fan of Ronny D since early doors.

Last season I questioned whether we would ever qualify for the CL group stages under this guy – we haven’t and IMHO we never will.

I now question whether we can retain our league title.

We can bemoan the fact we have lost VVD etc, but bottom line is majority of RDs 15 signings have been poor, and good players have regressed – Forrest, Lustig, Izzy, Commons, Brown etc.

Last season he only gave Commons and Griifiths a chance, well into the season & in effect he stumbled across his key players by chance.

PL now has a huge call to make.

    Does he stick or twist.

Stick , and if we don’t win league, PL will fall with Deila.

Stick and Deila wins league, but we don’t qualify for CL he will face same issue this time next year.

    Twist, and he saves himself.

I’m hoping it’s just that Broonie needs a few games under his belt to sort out the midfield and instil a bit of fight and back to basics composure in those around him and that we can find our strongest 11 as it all looked a bit experimental to me,wee bit of time and patience required as the sheep will drop points, they keep proving they’re not good enough for the league.

  19. This is a rubbish port-mortem.

Of them all I would only give Svietchenko, Tierney & Broon pass marks.

And against our main rivals too. Poor.

On Subday I went to bed blaming Thomson.

Who do I blame tonight !!

Aberdeen deserved to win – writing that kills me.

  24. Is Commons injured? I assume so, because he is several times better than every other player on that park tonight.

Sad to see the pressure Ronnie is under but his team is just garbage, and – apart from 15-20 games in the second half of last season – has always been garbage.

  25. 31003. Hans thinking what Celtic fans are celebrating thank God the Huns are dead.

Think your head should have traffic lights installed in case your 2 brain cells collide.

  26. Hugh Bonkle fae Dallas on

The 2nd half tonight reminded me of that disgraceful night at St Mirren under Mowbray. No fight, no desire… we can’t be back there surely. I don’t like calling for the manager’s head but time for change. And take Peter with you…

  27. Joe Filippis Haircut on

I see no point in Celtic fans fighting each other ok we have lost two games we thought we could win but for many reasons it just didnt happen. Now the sack Ronny now brigade need to calm down if Ronny is sacked tomorrow it will hand the advantage to Aberdeen as bringing in a new man with new ideas in the middle of the season is rarely a good idea. Lets wait until the close season but now we all need to get behind the team and help them get there confidence back. H.H.

  28. On to Airdrie and a wee respite from league business.

Taking stock we are virtually 4 points clear.

Ronny and Broony have 2 weeks to find spines for some of our lily livered cowards.

Two home league games and then an away fixture to Hamilton in February should help steady the ship.

We will go into March league leaders.

How far behind will Aberdeen be?

I suspect they will have a wee bit of a come down in Perth on Saturday.

  29. Some Celtic fans on here need to be realists watched Celtic over 50 yrs if you honestly think RD can deliver Europe next year you are totally deluded. DD and PL need now to make a call and relieve him of his duties. I know Scottish football is in decline but to ridicule pundits who have both played for the club and comment adversely and be decried on this forum is totally wrong. Mowbray got sacked for less who competed in a stronger league. Enough is enough experiment has not worked that team no cohesion no brain and tactically naive from manager to team
