Thanks for that easy-to-understand explanation. After careful study, I have concluded that Sevco are a shower of Jammy sods or that the SFA are corrupt. What are the odds on that!!

  2. Onemalloy,

Football pales into insignificance compared to your loss.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

  4. Most people agree BMCUWP, apparently though when you factor in to the full computation accomodating conditional probability that number inflates out to circa 2050.

It really is quite simple when you think about it… HOT SMOKED’s conclusion, after careful study and prejudice-free consideration is most likely the correct one.

That made me smile 0:-)). Nice one, K.

Not being sarcastic, honest. But is increase in conditional probability linear or exponential?

Reason I ask is,if exponential, and this rare statistical anomaly continues, there may not be enough capacity available to configure those odds.

    In other words…

    It joooost disnae compute!

  8. Morning all

Cold day in Lanarkshire yesterday but job done! :)

So i’m a long time lurker and very occasional poster so not everyone will be familiar with my user name!

I run a 2006 football club and we have 3 teams. We are holding our annual Awards and Race Night in the Almondvale Suite at Livingston Stadium.

As part of the night we are holding an auction and there may be a couple of items that posters on here might be interested in!

We have a signed named and numbered (signature on the 1) Moussa Dembélé away shirt and a framed limited edition photo signed by Scott Sinclair. Photo is of Scott celebrating in front of the fans at Tynecastle after scoring on his debut. Print is number 22 of 25

We also have a signed Hearts Away strip and Hibs Football (First team squads on both)

All funds raised from the auction and Race Night are to cover the costs of players going to a Tournament over Easter Holidays.

If anyone is interested in making a silent bid (even the Edinburgh teams stuff) then P67 has my email address. I’m happy to provide photo’s of the items as well and any other details.

    Thanks :)

Lee Wallace has said that Miller could fire the club into the Champions League and has encouraged the board to take action.

    Good Morning.

Jeez some people are dead jammy! That Hamilton Tim has enjoyed a birthday round about this time every single bloody year! What are the odds on that? I think we should be asking for an enquiry …. and he’s getting married! Bet he has matching socks and fresh ones each week too! Bloody Hell.

Happy Birthday HT have a great day.

One Malloy thoughts and prayers with you, your brother and his family and friends.

  11. BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS:

No worries mate, but I’ve never been into maths and odds and gambling, however that figure of circa 2050 came from discussed equations on here.

    http://nrich.maths.org/6954/solution

I tend to go with my gut feeling on these things Bobby and although I don’t think it is impossible, far from it, I just don’t think God is that generous with his divine benevolence to the rat pack.

So at the end of the day, toss a coin – they’re fixing it – they’re not?

  12. ONEMALLOY Sorry to hear about your brother, sad. May he rest in peace. Look after yerself and your family.

  14. Morning all

Condolences to Onemalloy. A sad time for you and your familt.RIP

Interested to read Brendan’s comments re Dedryk B. I have to admit that I thought DB was a bigger bombscare than Efe at this time last year and will need more than one assured display against a part time team for him to win me round. But we are thin at centre back with Kolo out the picture it seems, O’Connell away and I think Mikael is far less convincing at centre back than he is at right back things may be opening up for Dedryk given that Jozo only plays 2 from 3. Hopefully things work well for DB- he started brightly gave away two bad goals in a game we won very easily and never seemed to recover but a guy on the fringes of the Belgian national team cannot be bad.

As for the Forrest/Roberts debate I have to say I like what Brendan is doing here- they are both really good players and both are getting plenty of game time and both are contributing. I do not see it as being necessary to have one to the exclusion of the other when we can have both. But then James Forrest is one of those players who some people will always criticise whatever he does so as long as he gets a game he will get the brickbats ( whatever they are) regardless.

  15. JIM PAYNE

I always that DB could be a player, he seemed to have the attributes, his concentration was the thing, if anyone can pull a performance out of him it will be Brendan, a proper manager with decent game intelligence and coaching.

DB comes up with goals too, could be a win for all concerned.

  16. Starry Plough

    .

I was never sure if it was confidence or concentration that was the main issue. But good luck to him – and it is no bad thing to have a centre half that can score goals ..
