ANGE POSTECOGLOU has already started his January transfer plans with former Spurs recruitment chief Steve Hitchen poised to join Celtic.
The 46-year-old talent scout, who has also worked with Liverpool, left the London club in February, but is now ready to team up with the champions.
Hitchen and Postecoglou have mutual friends and the Greek-Australian boss is open to working with the Englishman, who is credited for bringing the likes of Luka Modric to Spurs and Luis Suarez to Liverpool.
The experienced director of football and scout watched the Hoops in action last week and could work in an advisory role with Postecoglou, according to a report in the Scottish Sun.
Hitchen was also Queens Park Rangers’ head of European scouting before moving to Derby County in 2016.
Everton have also been linked with the highly-rated director of football who is set to return to the game at Parkhead.
His first role will be to identify targets for Postecoglou in the January transfer window as the Hoops continue to restrengthen their squad.
