Ange sets tone like a boss

152

By any measure, Ange Postecoglou is clever. Thrust by sponsors into sitting beside Mick Beale for a pre-cup final media conference, there was no “lucky man” barbs sent along the table, instead, he spoke about Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s achievements.

“He won a trophy, finished second in the league and got to the Final of the Europa League. You change a couple of those things and they’re building statues to that guy. It’s a fine line.” Don’t criticise your opponent, just remind everyone of the achievements of his predecessor. Who was still sacked.

Games are not won at a presser five days out, all the hard work lies ahead, but Postecoglou set the tone in the room like a boss, he is determined to land this plane.

With possibly 120 minutes to plan for, Ange will be pleased Aaron Mooy and David Turnbull are available for selection. After the game at Ibrox on 2 January moved against Celtic, Mooy replaced Matt O’Riley. The response was not instant and had more to do with the introduction of Jota than anything else, but I expect Aaron will start on Sunday.

  1. I see BT Sport will be re-branded becoming TNT, I think. With my current Virgin package I get BT Sport free. Plenty others will have the same arrangement. Anyone know or have a view about whether this will continue ?

  2. RB Leipzig against Man City tonight

    Currently 0-0

They beat us 2-0 at home and 3-1 away

I’m sure you’ll still get TNT free with Virgin as it’s a rebranding rather than a takeover.

I think it’s a merger, rather than a simple name change. The other lot, Warner, have Eurosport, so I’d imagine there will be a combined package, at increased cost no doubt…

Not much Salsa being danced here at the mo, legs

    are so tired after training.

Yip download the Brave browser I don’t get any ads at all. Doesn’t stop the login pish but I think that’s from the CQN application 😉 probably a timeout or limited concurrent user limitation, would be my guess.

The ads were never too bad, now I’ve got one that covers

the whole screen and tells me to rotate my pad ???

Just turn it off then and give up.

Thanks for those. They both showed that we weren`t far off the required standard to compete in the CL Qualifiers and we are almost certainly a better team now in both personnel and individual improvement. If we do win the League, I am sure we will do better in the CL than we did this season.

  12. Formartine, about whom I know nothing, leading Brechin 2-0 with just a few minutes left. This means Buckie Thistle stay top of the Highland League by two points but Brechin have a game in hand.

BUCKIE PLAY IN GREEN AND WHITE HOOPS !

  13. RB player does a Goldson and uses both hands to punch ball away. No pen. BT panel can’t believe it. City tend not to get these calls in europe. You’d be forgiven

Does your application limit the number of concurrent users or does it garbage stack least used users.

It will probably be an applications setting on your JVM’S if you’re using them.

Used to be an applications DBA for about 500 years before I retired but these things are common twicks across many applications 👍

  18. Statement from Irish Republican Political ex-Prisoners

We, the undersigned men and women, served terms of imprisonment in jails in Ireland, England and Europe during the conflict for Irish republican activity.

We are signing this statement to make it clear to communities, and especially young people, that Irish Republicanism has no affinity with the crude ‘nationalist’ hatred recently being peddled by racist and fascist groups stirring up anti-immigrant feeling.

Irish Republicanism grew from the three principles of ‘liberty’, ‘equality’ and ‘fraternity’ in the French Revolution. In the centuries since these ideas have informed our politics, which has always been Internationalist and Democratic in outlook. Our movement is secular and rejects religious sectarianism. Many Republicans align themselves with progressive liberation struggles worldwide.

It is incumbent on all of us to continue this tradition and resist any attempts by Irish fascist organisers to claim the mantle of Irish republicanism for themselves.

The reactionary views of fascists have always been directly opposed to our beliefs, but now fascists pose as ‘patriots’ and ‘community defenders’. The leaders of these groups played no part in decades of struggle in Ireland. These groups are directly influenced by loyalists and British neo-nazis and other far-right elements.

We call on all Irish republicans of all ages, groups and traditions to become active in your community, workplace and the streets “to try and stem the rising fascist tide”.

    Signed

    …………….

Apparently, in a Press Conference yesterday SAKALA would NOT call Celtic by name, and refered Celtic as ” THE OTHER MOB” ?

SAKALA has quickly learned the ways of the Hun………especially BLATANT DIVING and CHEATING to win Penalties and Free Kicks, and getting opposition players into trouble with the Refs…..much like that other Hun CHUMP…Morelos.

I HATE THEMS so much…words ( almost) fail me.

  22. MELBOURNE MICK…

GREAT to see you posting Mate.

I hope that you and PADDY and both families are all Fit and Healthy.

Im PRAYING to the BIG YIN up above for a CELTIC VICTORY this Sunday against the Huns.

Any kind of Victory will do of course, but it would be even better IF Celtic tear them apart by a wide margin ?

    ALL the best Mate.

My first thought when I saw this, I thought that The FEARLESS FLYERS was gonna be a Video of DAIZEN, LIEL and JOTA……to name but Three ?

    LOL

Heres hoping ALL our Celtic Bhoys will be Flying on Sunday ?
