BENJI SIEGRIST’S loan move to Austrian club Sturm Graz has been scuppered.
Celtic’s third-choice keeper looked to be heading out on a temporary transfer to get much-needed game-time with first-team opportunities severely restricted at the champions.
Siegrist, who joined the Hoops in August 2022 as a free agent after coming out of contract at Dundee United, has been unable to shift Joe Hart from the No.1 spot with Scott Bain seen as the regular back-up.

The 31-year-old Swiss shotstopper believed the answer would be a loan switch to the Austrians, but the deal has fallen through with Sturm Graz looking elsewhere with Liverpool’s Vitezlav Jaros a possibility, according to a report in the Daily Record.
Siegrist has made just two League Cup appearances since arriving in Glasgow.
The champions had been linked with Kilmarnock’s impressive on-loan keeper Will Dennis who was due to come out of contract at Bournemouth, but the Premier League team have just announced the 23-year-old netminder has signed a new two-year deal.
