CELTIC FINED £17,000 BY UEFA

CELTIC have been hit with another fine by Europe’s ruling body following their fans’ conduct in the 3-1 Champions League Group F loss to RB Leipzig in Germany earlier this month.

The Hoops copped a £17,120 penalty for their pyrotechnic display in the travelling supporters’ end at the Red Bull Arena.

It’s the second fine for the Parkhead side by UEFA after already been punished for banners deemed to be offensive on display before the 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk in Warsaw.

The Hoops are out of Europe’s elite competition after picking up just one point from a possible 12 and still have two games to play as they aim to grab a place in the Europa League after the turn of the year.

They face the Ukrainians of Donetsk in Glasgow on Tuesday evening and they conclude their section with a match against reigning European champions Real Madrid in the Bernabeu on November 2.
