CELTIC GET POSSIBLE REVENGE MISSION

0

CELTIC have been handed a Champions League play-off against Malmo or Vidi – if they take care of business against AEK Athens in the third round.

The Hoops, then managed by Ronny Deila, were knocked out at the same stage three years ago.

Goals from Leigh Griffiths (2) and Nir Bitton gave them a 3-2 win in Glasgow, but they toppled to a 2-0 defeat in the return.

The Hungarians of Vidi, of course, will do their best to prevent the champions embarking on a revenge mission.

If Brendan Rodgers’ men fail to win through against the Greeks, they will face either Suduva or Jumula in the Europa League,

The full draw from Nyon, Switzerland, this morning resulted:

Red Star Belgrade or Spartak Trnava v Salzburg or Shkensija

Qarabag or BATE Borisov v PSV Eindhoven

Young Boys Switzerland v Astana or Kiev Dinamo

Malmo or Vidi v CELTIC or AEK Athens

Ties due August 21/22 and 28/29
