What this game shows is the fine margins between triumph & disaster. If that tackle by Ajer was a couple of inches off the MIB would be overjoyed in awarding the penalty.
Ajer handing the MOM prize to Julien, I would have had it the other way round but both of them are in my Jobo picks.

In fairness our wastefulness created the fine margin. Point taken though.

It’s time we got back to a front 3 of MJ left wing, OE centre ,JF right wing with RC in the middle, we are a more balanced team with pace and tempo in abundance with players playing in their natural positions.

Thanks for the updates guys most appreciated oh and thanks to the links for the goals.
Win our next 2games and have a nice wee 8point cushion and give slippy some food for thought.

For first 20 mins OE looked like he was going to have a game to remember, amazing little intricate moves, twists snd turns. He then faded out of it until . . .
MJ is better on the left than JF. Faster and more direct.
Did something I don’t normally do and left the game at 16:40, next bus is 3 hours from now.
We should have won today with plenty to spare so hopefully the missed chances will be taken against the huns.
Wee Jeremie won a few high balls today, he must be attending the CR7 jumping school. 😉

Hope to see MJ play next day out. Forrest got some stick recently but to be fair to the lad, he’s a right winger playing on the left.
The starting 11 against St Mirren will be the team lining up against Steven Gerrard’s The Rangers.

28 shots today and only 2 goals.
I remember the 5 1 Dembele hatrick game against Sevco – we seemed to score with every chance or near it.
Martin Peters RIP – he would be very suited to the modern game.
AFAIK, he unfortunately suffered badly with dementia in the last few years.

I think our most effective line up is 3 at the back, allowing Frimpong or Bolli/Hayes to attack up the wings with more freedom.
I would agree Christie is most effective in No 10 position.
Thought Bolli did OK today, Frimpong quiet first half but came on to his game second.
Thought Julien & Ajer were superb. Brooney solid as always, first 30 minutes thought N’tcham looked world class he was less influential as game progressed but was unlucky to be hooked ahead of CalMac.
Eddie did some lovely individual cameos and of course scored the vital goal.
Overall a good performance but we are not translating our on field dominance into goals.
This is a worry & could bite us in the ass if it’s not rectified.
Ajer & Julian were my top bhoys, will think a bit longer before making my 3rd pick.

1851: 6 February, Black Thursday
Fires covered a quarter of what is now Victoria (about five million hectares). Areas affected included Portland, Plenty Ranges, Westernport, the Wimmera and Dandenong districts.
Around 12 lives, one million sheep and thousands of cattle were lost.

Thought Ajer was brilliant for the winning goal, took responsibility big time. A priceless contribution. We should have won by many more, Aberdeen carried luck and we were wasteful. Thought we looked leggy in the second half, Brown, McGregor and Christie particularly. But we done the job and thank goodness for that.

Presumably in 1851, they were ill equipped to deal with bush fires.
In any case at the moment it is Australia that is suffering, if you are still not convinced of Climate change so be it. You are living there.

Not great, didn’t repaly do anything. Thought he should have done better on a couple of occasions either by laying the ball off or holding it in. He has a lot of hard work ahead of him yet.

Ron 67 – agreed. Trying to accomodate N’tcham alongside Brown, Christie and Mac is css is cauding the imbalance.
