One of the problems with the climate change debate is the outrageous claims made by either faction, lots of it by uneducated Hollywood or DC attention seekers.
Those sensationalists who predicted 20 years ago our coastal cities would be under water in 10 years and are still flying around in private jets to climate conferences.
Those opportunists who have monetized global warming/ climate change. Al Gore is by far the biggest mouthpiece here. His outrageous unproven claims haven’t stopped him from making a fortune from the carbon emission offset schemes.
Di Caprio lends his voice and travels by private jet.
Obama poured a fortune into subsidizing allies in the renewables solar energy sector, which was a failure, but is so concerned about rising sea levels he has just bought a beachfront estate in Maine.
Faced with these facts I’m sceptical, mainly due to the politicization of the movement.
Coal, oil have been the foundation of western civilization progress in the last three centuries.
Until renewables are more reliable, and less costly, we cannot afford to curtail their production.
Personally I believe that wave energy is a more reliable source for us in the Northern Hemisphere. I would like to see some research into using the Gulf Stream, North Atlantic Drift, as a source of energy production.
As a converted vegetarian, I would like to claim I’m doing my bit. Cow farts according to science, are a major factor in methane gas production, so by cutting out the middle man/ cow, I am reducing pressure on the atmosphere.
One question remains though.
I can’t see how my personal emissions reduce the methane in the atmosphere.

We desperately need a back up for Eddy, who again was good today, so intelligent in all he does. Imagine if he picks up a knock against St Mirren.
Bit perplexed over Calmac at present, no lack of effort, but seemingly short of his usual spark.

Think Lenny is of the opinion that at certain times against the Ibrox club, five accross the middle, i.e. Ryan, Ollie, Scott, Calmac & Jamsie will blunt their press and also prevent the two full backs from getting forward. That would leave our back four to deal with Kent, Morelos and whoever may break from midfield.
It is wise to try this out over a few games beforehand, and let’s be honest, in our three games since Hampden, we could/should have scored many more than two each time.

Some merit in the comments about Ntcham, Christie, Forrest et al but ultimately this team have won 10 League matches on the bounce and have returned a stunning 49 points from a possible 54.
I can understand what Lenny is trying to do. Ntcham played superbly on Wednesday so he could not be dropped today. In the first half we should have been out of sight so no issues. I actually think the greater concern is in the full backs areas, as neither Frimpong or Boli fill me with confidence going back towards their on goal. I would like to see Elhamed play but it may be too soon. Frimpong offers a lot going forward but he can be exposed where as Boli is a little more solid but looks nervy and passes the buck when in possession. We will need a big performance next week to get the 3 points.

I think the first 60 minutes at Hampden we’re a bit of a shock for everyone and a repeat on the 29th would be very worrying leading into the break.
I think it would be foolish to not show them some respect after that
And we can go toe to tie with them in midfield and beat them – we have better players in every position
Looking forward to The Methadone on Boxing Day – hoping for a good few goals but think minds might be on the next game.
Hello again all you young rebels.
Another three points on our march to the nine.
Would have preferred an easy watch with all our chances hitting the
onion bag, but it doesn’t always work like that, and anyway we’ve
got the quality to keep on keeping on even though some of our
stalwarts looked a bit out of sorts.
Thought big Jullien was immense and Ajer gets in my top 3 even after
being outjumped by that big thug Cosgrove.
Some bhoys advocating signing him? not for me, looks more like a
hun top would suit him.
