Hunderbirds are Gone on
James Forrest may or may not be Chicken, I don’t know. Running full tilt towards an opposing player in possession of the ball, and then slowing up is, I am sure, exactly what he is instructed to do by the Manager. His job, out of possession, is to close down the options available to the defenders in possession. His job is to mark space. His job is to lead opposition players right down Scott Brown’s throat. It is not to tackle players.
If he was to dive in to tackles and dispossess a player, who picks up the loose ball when he is picking himself up from his “brave” tackle.
My opinion… I have made my point. I will not have to repeat it (ad nauseam)
James Forrest is a highly valued member of our squad. He has all the stats to back this up. When fit he will always be one of the first names on the team-sheet. He is a model professional, an internationalist, and a credit to Celtic. There will always the odd one out in our support who can’t see our ‘forrest, for their own self-planted trees, however we are a club open to all, aren’t we?

Just caught a few of your posts mentioning your sticky keys problem
I see you are getting a new tablet.
However, if you are keeping your ‘sticky’ machine, AND it has a USB slot, then you can simply connect an external keyboard and use that instead of the native keyboard.
If you need an external USB keyboard, then I have loads of them and one is yours if you want…
Leave a note on here if you wish but I may miss it so also drop me an email at mstewart@ymail.com and we can arrange for me to drop it off with you.
Anyway…Happy New Tablet to you.

RESULTS FROM GAME #25 – CELTIC 2 ABERDEEN 1 (JULLIEN, EDOUARD)
A hard fought victory and our 5 point lead was safely restored. And now just 2 games away from either being 1 point behind, all square, or 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 ahead as we go into the Dubai Break. The voting for this game was clear – despite the number of chances we created and passed up most of the plaudits went to our defenders: our back 4 hoovered up 64% of the votes.
Again, all of our 10 outfield starters received at least 1 vote. Yes, even James Forrest (thanks Sydney ;-))
So, here we go with the latest results. Thank you to the 46 who took the time to vote. The votes for the 14 players who took to the Holy Ground yesterday are as follows (with my own selections asterisked) –
Forster: 0
Frimpong: 8
Jullien*: 39
Ajer*: 36
Bolingoli*: 6
Brown: 8
McGregor: 5
Christie: 3
Ntcham: 5
Forrest: 1
Edouard: 27
Johnston: 0
Griffiths: 0
Rogic: 0
Unused subs – Gordon, Taylor, Bitton, Bayo
Therefore, the players receiving points for the Aberdeen game are –
Jullien – 5 points
Ajer – 4 points
Edouard – 3 points
Brown – 2 points
Frimpong – 2 points
That leaves the overall table reading as follows –
Brown – 55 points
Christie – 38 points
Edouard – 36 points
Jullien – 33 points
Frimpong – 32 points
Forrest – 26 points
McGregor – 24 points
Elyounoussi – 22 points
Forster – 20 points
Ntcham – 19 points
Ajer – 18 points
Bolingoli-Mbombo – 13 points
Bauer – 11 points
Hayes – 8 points
Elhamed – 8 points
Taylor – 5 points
Griffiths – 4 points
Bitton – 4 points
Bayo – 3 points
Johnston – 3 points
Robertson – 2 points
Morgan – 2 points
Rogic – 1 point
Next up, A St Stephen’s Day trip to Paisley to face St Mirren. Voting will open around 4.50 on Thursday.

Some or their decision making and actions are questionable but I did some mad shit when I was their age. It’s just highlighted more because of TV.
Noticed on Spurtscene that they decided to highlight a nothing incident with Leigh Griffith’s. Add this to the unequivocal ‘no red card’ 8t was clear a wee agenda was being set.
Remember the reaction when Jozo put Miller into orbit? The outcry. Seems it’s fair now.

McNut on
Just to follow up on John Kennedy’s interview on the fact we are playing well but just not converting the many chances we create.
We have a team who all look as if they are enjoying themselves and who believe that if they miss one, another will come along. Fortunately in most games this is true. Recently two is the extent of our scoring and you have to think that sometime we are going to rue our profligacy.
The Ibrox club, on the other hand, do not look like they’re enjoying it, their’s is a determined and to quote SG, a “ruthless approach”. They look to strangle the game from the off, so let’s hope we rediscover our ‘shooting boots’ by the 29th.
Greenpinata on
What is also very noticeable and dismaying. :-
Posters who can’t be bothered to make any contribution until they want something or want to emphasise a point they may be associated with.
Imo every poster who contributes on here now should be valued. The past is past , we move on .
McNut and all – I believe that Sevco start at 100mph and try and put the game out of sight if they do not and around the 60 minute mark they start to tire. Full of bluster and get ball out to Tavernier who whips the same ball across the face of goal every time. Stop their crosses coming into the box and their game plan is fecked and they will tire.
All my opinion of course and we all see the game differently as seen in Jobo’s competition.
However we have the biggest game of the season so far on Thursday, let’s try and I emphasise try and run amok with St Mirren, 3 points is a must though.

I agree there does appear to be a Sevco burn-out at around the hour mark. It was apparent at Hampden even with us having lost a man, and in the second-half against Aberdeen. However in all these games they should have been out of sight by half-time. They botched it against us, blew it in the second-half at Aberdeen, but had killed-off a weak Hibs in the first-half.
What will this mean for our team selection & shape on the 29th?
Midfield is the key – Brown, Calmac, McGregor & Christie are certs – whoever fills the fifth spots will probably determine our approach. Will it be Forrest, or, Johnston, or, Ntcham, regardless one has to ask, apart from Brown, where are the ball winners?
We will need ball-winners especially in the first-half. The way I see it Sevco will go in with a ‘nothing to lose’ attitude. They are five points behind, if they lose it will be eight, however win their game in hand and it’s back to five again.
Another Hampden performance from us and we may not be as lucky this time.

Most ordinary people shy away from serious discussion on climate change for the simple reason that unless & until everyone is prepared to take a hit to their lifestyle, nothing will change.
