  1. Watched game from Lisbon lions stand

Another substitution of Forrest. No 17 of the Season. Poor again yesterday. His attempts at winning the ball in air and ground had “ chicken” written all over it

He was slightly better on right , but he has lost that position now to Jeremie

Last week he started as a no 9. Fail

Yesterday started at left wing. Fail

Surely he is now to be benched. Can’t go on with a player who is invisible week in week out

Ready for abuse. But time to get real

  2. I see we have a new resident troll in MCNUT, only been on the blog a few days and already controlling the agenda.

  3. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Good to see Almere yesterday. Many thanks for calendars from daughters.

    Shit posting on here

  4. SYDNEYTIM…

Good to see you back on. My nephew moved to just outside Sydney with his young family 2 years ago, luckily he has missed the problems that have affected some.

Re James Forrest… He can be exceptional or posted missing, I don’t think it helps his case when he is moved about like a pawn to the slaughter to accommodate other players.

As others have posted, lenny should play players in their prefared/ best position, if they are off the mark then drop them.

To me frimpong could be an ideal stand in until James F finds his form again. HH

Allo Allo – “listen carefully I will say this only once” – I agree with every word that Frank McAvennie writes about that disgraceful GB dig at Rod Stewart. I wish I had written it myself & probably 59,500 others in Celtic Park do too.

Do you have a link? To macavennie article?

  9. I bumped into Frank once at the luggage carousel Heathrow………..a proper laff and laugh-out-loud craic from him. I doubt I’d pay to much heed to any “article” supposed to be associated to him tho’…….

the sleekit scoddish meeja always have a soft spot, kolumn inches and a free lunch for any garrulous Tim with an appetite for a tic-based kontroversy.

    Guff.

  10. My friends in Celtic

One day we will convert our chances. I hate to think of the consequences if OE gets injured against St Mirren.

Oh and the wannabe GB’ers at the back of the Jock Stein stand really need to learn some Celtic songs. Songs about Tories are so yesterday’s news.

Hail Hail to all, the journey continues.

Well, that’s the most ‘creative’ explanation that I”ve heard to date – look, we all know what they meant.

    McNut.

We all know what they meant, obviously not, since my opinion is different to yours.

  12. MCNUT, I wished you a warm welcome a few days ago. I still do.

Keep saying how you see it. Many of us agree.

  13. For anyone in or passing through The Gorbals Today

Please be on the lookout and DO NOT APRROACH the mad baseball-bat wielding monster, who prowls the street unseen and without warning attacks the unwary, battering them around the head and body leaving them remarkably unmarked but feeling as if they have drank 12 pints, half a bottle of gin and two bottles of wine.

Nasty piece of work who it seems hypnotises his victims and forces them to reveal pin numbers, hand over debit cards etc and then wanders round various pubs and such like dens of iniquity, spending ill-gotten gains willy nilly, and then cunningly returning said cards and any receipts into the victims wallet.

    A VERY DANGEROUS PERSON!

    BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

    Hail Hail

    Matt the victim!

  14. Mc Nut ‘re macavennie article/rod/gb article

Its ok.if it’s the article that was in the same paper as those who raided milky dowlers bins

    ‘Erudite’eh,a ghost written article!

”Rod is the greatest global ambassador Celtic has’

    ABSOLUTE GUFF

Typical headline from the divisive bog roll the ‘binraider’.

THE CELTIC SUPPORT ARE CELTICS BIGGEST ASSET

Let’s not get caught up in the cult of personality,as is the modern trend, everyone of us knows a sound Tim,it never will be Rod!

    mc nut,

I have been critical of Celtic fans called the green brigade over this issue, here’s the thing tho,They are Celtic fans, undoubtedly, when criticizing them I did so on the basis I thought they were posing as judgemental,

Do you think The bin raider is pro Celtic?

    It’s not

    It’s a pollutant.

  15. SYDNEY TIM

Yesterday for sure James Forrest was below par, double teamed on the wrong side of the pitch, both him and Ryan Christie improved when moved to their natural positions.

Did you miss his two assists at Hearts in the midweek? Or was the TV in the Dolphin broken?

For the life of me I cant remember you praising his set up of Olivier Ntcham’s goal?

  16. james forest did the job he was paid to do yesterday, he did not do anything wrong, you would need to come all the way from australia and sit in the lisbon lions stand to actually find fault with his performance,

    the green brigade were magnificent.

the hate the flucin tories chant was joined in with at least 30,000 voices.

sir rob is a celtic ambassador, aye sure he is, but his personal wealth means he has no understanding of what the tories do to real people, its a simple as that.

  17. A massive thank you for the updates of yesterdays game, especially for someone like myself who is stuck at home or in hospital.

I was also forced to listen to Radio Scotbread and as ever their comments/patter is utter mince and at times childlike.

I havent seen the full game and/or highlights, only Celtics winning goal, but according to Shortbread, Scott Brown “Caused ALL the trouble”, when he gave Cosgrave a piece of his mind after he was sent off. As Captain especially, I want to see Celtic players sticking up for each other etc, regardless of what action a Ref may or may not have taken ? Broony was accused of causing “ALL the trouble” by these Chumps on Radio….although I havent read/heard any report of Broony throwing punches etc….and it was Cosgrave who shoved Broony ?….in other words…lifted his hand(s) ?

Funny how when the Huns players have a go at a Ref or opposition players etc…its described as “Togetherness, Comradery etc ” ?

Hopefully we get the 3 points v St Mirren…with GOALS to spare as a bonus…….and my other hope is that our Full Backs ( and Forwards) will give the Hun plenty to think about next week, and the Manky Mobs attacking players will be too busy backtracking and trying to defend ?

I will be having a bet or three against the Huns….and I wouldnt put it past Leigh Bhoy to come on and score the winner…….unless we can Mollykate them BEFORE Leigh gets a sniff ?

    HH

  18. No use being full of the bravado next Sunday,we have to match up the Huns in midfield.Too often in the last couple of games,Broony too busy putting out fires to do what he does best.Give him support, and let him run the game.Surely it’s not too difficult for Jamesy to play in from the right ,with Eddy in from the left supported by Ryan in midfield playing the no.10.Everyone in position, and when needed,4 in midfield.

  19. mcnut – you speak for you and your mates

the bhoys up the back yesterday also told rod to eff off and sang about the tories.

so thats the bhoys and the gb and the standing section.

most folk i know may or may not back the gb, but they defo do not back those who are piling in to the gb

this site is probably the least representative of all celtic sites too (good or bad).covered

sydney tim – how many goals and how many assists this season ? what as your assessment of all of the players yesterday ? what was end product for all ? how many individual mistakes for all ? how much space did each player leave for others when marked ? you don’t rate jamiesie – we hear you. luckily you are not at CP and Jamesie will never hear you.

  20. SMSM at it already with Frimpong.Does he want to go back to EPL.Shocking but the wee man shot them down. This is what Mc Avennie is writing for.

  21. We played our best football this season with Christie in the middle, Forrest on the right and Elyounissi/Johnston on the left. W

  22. big jimmy – a soon as alfredo was sent off – which could have happened many a time this season if the refs had done their jobs – it was open season on broonie. first we gate the pish from the jambos, a trend since budge arrived – aiming digs at the entire celtic support too – even blaming crushes on celtic fans without tickets too ! and the feckin record printing it !!!!! where have we heard that before. Then Cosgrove gets sent off for a reckless challenge which goes against today’s rules and it’s Broonies faiult. Who are we playing next week ??

  23. against the jambos and the sheep we have created several chances – the football has been as good as any week – we just havent killed them off with a third.

  24. Neil Lennon & McCartney on

Thing about Rod———any publicity is good publicity ~ love the guy but he follows the money ~ always has, simple as………?

  25. Lessons learned….Number 67

When returning from a night on the batter, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES experiment with a beard trimmer.

Trust me on this. I faced up to the consequences this morning.

Despite my misgivings, she went ahead and the mess she made of her chin is not pretty.

It’ll take ages for it to grow back.

    Hail Hail

    Matt

  26. tukeybhoy – agreed – win the midfield first – give broonie a hand – callum broonie, and olli for me ith others assisting too…

win the battle then the football will take over

watch for goldson straight thru the back of eddie right at the start too…

  27. Sipsini. Indeed fires back home are Awefull

Agree no point in playing James Forrest in a position that he clearly can’t play in

As for right , Jeremie is now 1st choice

Pic before bed: Big Billy and wee Billy share a joke as Celtic and Leeds come out at Hampden in the 1970 ECSF. The official attendance was a European record 136,000 which will surely never be broken although 150,000 are estimated to have got in to the ground.

  30. Celtic should stick to bringing in quality young players like ajer, eduard and jeramie and the many others before them. We should focus on promoting our own kids like k.t, Forrest, McGregor and more recently mikey j and dembele.

We should look to sign good quality players in the 22 to 27 age group who are gonna come in and play like jullien, good quality players that cost a bit of money, but have good track records.

Players in the 27 to 34 category should be guys who have come through the first two groups and so have demonstrated they are good enough for celtic or loan players we could not otherwise afford.

We should have no more than 24 outfield players and 3 gk. The squad size needs reduced not increased.
